Staff on desk duty were outstanding; kind, professional, eager to help, friendly.
Linens are terrible. Stained sheets? Eeeeeuuuw
Great custom service, great location!! Great hospitality and very nice rooms. Will come back :)
The hotel, situated in the relaxed, leafy and quiet German Colony district, seemed more akin to an upmarket private villa than a hotel. It was walking distance, mainly through gardens/parks, to the Old City, which in the heat of the day came as a pleasant surprise. Staff at reception were always very frendly and helpful. The practicalities of Shabbat came as a surprise - ie no restaurants were open, but on Friday happy hour expended to wine, cheese, nuts, fruit and cake which was most enjoyable and, in our case, a lifesaver. The shadded hotel garden was a delightful place to read and relax. The choice of restaurants close by were more than adequate.
Breakfast in the hotel garden would have been a welcome addition to the facilities, but the near by restaurants, which had a more Israeli street life, cosmopolitan atmosphere were very good.
The hotel is in a house; small hotel located in a very pretty, quiet and green area; there is a lovely garden in front of the house. The rooms are confortable, traditional design and with large windows. The staff was very friendly. Great to be able to have coffee and cookies all day long in the lobby and the garden.
The bathroom is a little plain in terms of design and was not always cleaned perfectly. At the moment we were told the kitchen tof the hotel was being refurbished and the breakfast is outsourced to two restaurants not far from the hotel; nice breakfast but it can be very limited as one can only have one coffee and a service charge was suggested in the two restaurants, that we didn't give. We had paid for a room with fantastic breakfast included!
