The location is perfect for visiting the Old City, Garden Tomb, etc. Very quiet at night. The restaurant in the hotel is great, with a wide variety of tasty, mostly Italian food and wines. We ate there 4 of the 6 nights we stayed.
Our room was really small, and I peeked into a few others that were even less conveniently laid out than ours. The room was frigid when we arrived late in the day, and it took a full 36 hours to warm up enough to be comfortable. The breakfast didn't suit me much: usually no fresh fruit, no bread other than stale pita, stale sugary cereal. They did make eggs to order, but the quality produced by the different cooks was extremely variable, and you never knew whether you'd get a scowl or a smile from the cook. The service in all parts of the hotel was like that: some people very friendly, helpful and good at their job, others that seem to wish you weren't there.
The hotel is very pretty and in a great location. It is Palestinian owned and comfortable. The rooms are clean and well maintained.
The room could get a little cold even with a heater. The cost of a room is quite high if you are traveling alone.
The hotel seems to be freshly renovated, the interior and the rooms are very tasteful and modern, I liked the white brick walls! Our bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean. The heating/ air-co worked very well. The room was very quiet, we didnt hear any noise from the corridor. The breakfast was fine, quite a lot of choice. The staff was nice and helpful. The location is good, the neighborhood seems safe, 10 mins walk to the Damascus Gate, so very convenient. Overall, a very good choice to stay in Jerusalem.
Great hotel, just renovated. Fantastic room and shower.
