Beautiful garden setting.
Shower in a bath
It is a small sized resort, which makes it cozy. They serve an excellent breakfast. One of the best surfing beaches of Jeju is on walking distance (staff could have told us about it).
Staff is not very talkative and they could offer information what to do in the neighbourhood. Not so much to do for children at the resort.
This resort is a true jewel and a pleasant contrast to the massive concrete resorts along this part of this beautiful coastal stretch. Its traditional, thatched roof style of guest houses and its setting in a subtropical botanical garden-like environment on top of a cliff near the ocean is quite unique. Breakfast is very good with choices of Korean and western type dishes. The airport express bus 600 stops right in front of the entrance to the resort. It is an easy 7-min walk to the next beach (beautiful Jungmun Beach). We highly recommend this hotel!
Some of the staff is a bit slack. They are very friendly and do what one asks them to do, but a bit more self-motivated service attitude should be expected from staff of a 5-star hotel. Also, the 5 stars are a bit overrated; it is rather a 4-star rating.
Not enough outlets in the room, had to unplug lights to operate the kettle in the room. Not quite as private as the pictures suggests, there is a hotel only walkway that can see into the rooms.
Great staff, amazing and scenic location though a bit far from restaurants, etc.
The surroundings were very nice, but the hotel itself was really disappointing.
We stayed there for 3 nights, had dinner one night in the restaurant, which we found very expensive, too much food a person can handle, so a lot went to the bin, it was 70,000krw per person, that’s what the server advised to take, without any drink, you will find the same food outside the hotel for a 3rd of the price or even less. The staff is lacking hospitality skills, but above all do not have any manners and disrespect its guests, only one lady from the front desk was very nice to us and helped us, the other ones were disrespectful and rude at all times. A big group of people arrived one evening while we were in the garden, and we were asked to leave by the manager as they wanted to take a group picture. The staff’s English is from poor to zero, and the most common word used is NO. They were advertising serving cocktails on the terrace, we asked about it and they said they don’t have anything. After dinner we asked for coffee and they said they don’t have, that we needed to go literally next door to serve it there, because they were too lazy to bring it in at the table. Old rooms, noisy and smelly A/C, dirty bathrooms, no storage place for the luggage, old furniture, weird sink, no space in the room. High prices for a coffee(one espresso and one cappuccino 18,000 krw, around 16 euros) A very, very bad experience, we wanted to pay for an upgrade and they said they didn’t have rooms, we checked online, and of course they still had availability. What should have been an excellent 3 nights trip, it changed to a very annoying one. My recommendation is TO AVOID this hotel and go to a known brand, because it’s not a 5 star, it’s a 3star hotel, but 5 star hotel prices.
