The room was clean, reasonably spacious (for economy lodging), and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was modest, but certainly adequate. The location was close to the main attractions. I thought it was an excellent value for the money.
The street was very noisy and took some getting used to. The air conditioner was not very effective, so we kept the windows open to stay cool at night. The wifi network was a little variable, so the connection was not always good.
The location and staff were excellent and extra helpful. Overall the hotel has heart and a beautiful lobby. Well located. We met a variety of people from around the world. Good basic turkish breakfast. Sheets and curtains were clean and beautiful.
The grouting in the shower was grungy. The carpeting and beds have been well used- could use some updating, My friend felt it was more run down that she was comfortable with. One night there was a large group of teens partying in the room next door, loud voices and door slamming. Do not disturb signs would be helpful.
The staff was indifferent, internet did not work, breakfst was listed as buffet, but dishes are not replinished once finished.
Hospitality of staff; clearness in rooms; good location and possibility of interesting city trip.
Close to all historical places, Sultan Ahmet is an example.
Yes, the AC in the room was not working first day, however it was fixed later. Couldn't sleep first night.
Nice adequate budget room; clean and quiet; well located and easily accessible to the old town of Istanbul (the most interesting part); day manager very helpful in advising us abt. maps, what we must see and the better-value tours; also advised us when taking taxis to ensure the driver used the meter (supposedly mandatory); advised us to be prepared for "salesmen" trying to lure you into their carpet / jewellery / leather goods / ceramics shops; good value breakfast included in the tariff.
Clean with comfortable beds and friendly staff, Not far from bazaar & sights
There were several student groups staying who were noisy at night disturbing our sleep
