I stayed once before briefly on business, and was so taken with the hotel that I decided to use it again. On this occassion I was able to combine a work commitment with a few days family break. The generous grounds provided many attractions for our 2 year old, including pet ducks, trampoline, climbing frame/swing/slide, not forgetting the 9 hole pitch'n'put! The staff were all very welcoming, and showed incredible patience with their smallest and most outspoken guest.
Location. Helpful staff. Good breakfast
For this standard of hotel, I expect a half-decent shower that's not just an extension of the bath-taps. or affected when you turn on other taps, or flush the loo.
the presentation of the hotel together with its history. all credit to the owner. the staff were efficient and friendly
the road but understand the problem
The staff is exceptional, the rooms delightful and the general ambiance is superb. This hotel attracts a really nice crowd of guests, including salmon fishermen. It is one of the best run hotels I have stayed in.
I can't find any fault
Traditional architecture in substantial private grounds. Cosy luxurious interior and welcoming atmosphere. A perfect island of serenity in an otherwise hectic world!
A beautiful building and a friendly welcome. The breakfast was very good too. We also enjoyed playing pitch and putt on the lawn.
Slightly dated (old tv for example).
The hotel staff esp. The general manager were friendly and attentive but discreet. Food was a gastronomic delight. There is a genuine air of pride in the staff's attitude towards the hotel and guests.
Very little to gripe about. The driveway into the hotel needs a little repair and dust on the tv in room.
Customer service, particularly dining staff. Location. Ambience of public rooms.
Disappointing room/ shower. Access road condition
