Cons: Unfortunately the property has a lot of construction problems. We had to change the room three times. First because of the air conditioning was not working, than we had water in the room(It was raining inside, also our bed was wet) and we had a cockroach in the bathroom...Also the TV in the first room was too small. The gym is very small and the treadmill was not working on the second day.

Cons: Setting beautiful, staff excellent, food good. Main issue we had was that the main room did not have adequate seating. It had a sort of futon instead of a sofa which didn't have large pillows or other back support.

Cons: Breakfast offering could be broader (there was only one type of fresh juice, bread wasn't available at 8am and was from the day before, fresh-made tapioca was available only one day). Although they provide bicycles, they are not well maintained. The lightning system of the room P9 was very weak and TV was a nightmare to deal with.

Cons: The Spin: The reservation was not correct. We booked 2 adults, 1 child (12 yrs), when we got there they wanted to add another $R600 to the tab for our child. Now $R600 isn’t horrible, but it’s not what the reservation was made for. Luckily I take lots of pictures while booking (I’ve booked in Brazil before) and was able to show our reservation, that still didn’t matter to the hotel. They had paperwork that said any child over 3 yrs was considered “additional”. This verbiage was not included on any of the paperwork, booking confirmation, or confirmation email that we received. Finally we ask to cancel our reservation and they decided that it was better to let our child stay without additional fees. Booking.com really needs to look into this, and why our reservation didn’t call out additional fees for the child. The hotel is “nice” but for the money I would expect more. There was no restaurant on-site (like many others) so you had to find your own fiddles. The overall facility seemed “incomplete”, as if there was a change in management and they were going to renovate. Not sure about this.

Good sized room, comfortable bed and excellent shower. Bar service at pool is very good and reasonably priced. Bar closes at 10pm so rooms around pool are not impacted by noise. Nice well kept land scaping around property. Easy parking on site well marked for each suite. Buffet breakfast service with plenty of fresh fruit, juices, cakes and eggs or tapioca cooked fresh to order. Would stay again if visiting Ilhabela.

Cons: I guess we got a room in the worst location possible, with a view to a wall of the front house, so that did not met our expectations when we arrived exhausted very late at night during the rain, albeit booking provided better pictures of the room. General use facilities might look a little bit outdated. Nobody from the staff speaks a single word in any other language than portuguese, but hey, it's Brazil: )

Pros: The view from the roof is amazing! The style of the hotel was very cool and we enjoyed the space around the room. Breakfast was very good too! The front desk hostess was extremely nice and respectful, helping us with anything we needed (I speak Portuguese, so that helped).

Cons: We did book this location thinking our room had a window view, but it had no window view and was a little small. We also thought that it was an easy walk to the beach and restaurants, but it's on a big hill that would have been hard to walk up, so we just drove.

Pros: The hotel experience was absolutely disappointing- It is the equivalent of a 1 star hotel. Such a shame! This ruined our stay in Ilhabela, which is an extremely gorgeous place. I cannot think of one positive thing to say about this facility.
Cons: Staff is so unwelcoming and unfriendly, which is unlike Brazilians. Hotel is dirty- Fridge is rusty and cockroaches in bathrooms. Breakfast is very bad and basic- not even eggs included. Children's pool is dirty. Outdated rooms and facilities. No value for money. The first place we go to in Brazil where we feel truly unwelcomed from the second we stepped foot in the facility. We took two rooms, in both bathrooms there were big cockroaches. The hotel did not even have screens to protect the bathrooms from insects. The receptionist charged us for dirty towels to be replaced since we used them at the beach. Which we did not mind, but she was very rude asking. During all of our stay in Brazil (for the past 9 months)- this is by far the worst experience we had. Not a place we recommend. You will get your money's worth more at a hostel.

Pros: Great size rooms, very close to the main bus terminal and ferry port when arriving and nice big social area with private pool to relax. Good breakfast too, with eggs made to order and very friendly, helpful staff. Has the added bonus of an excellent pizza parlour 2 mins walk away as well. Unbelievably good value, didn't expect anything as nice as this for what we paid - definitely the best value Pousada we stayed at during our entire holiday.

Pros: Fantastic- we stayed at the pousada that is part of the main complex, the room was like a five star hotel.. soft sheets, pretty furnishings and funky couches, a comfy mattress, fridge. Parking right outside the door of each chalet. So cheap, and we got an incredibly generous discount from the owner as well. Room serviced every day. The breakfast was fabulous , one of our best in Brazil - toasties, pão de queijo and fresh orange juice put it a cut above the usual. The staff are also particularly good- all exceptionally friendly and helpful. The wifi was decent from our room, despite the reviews about bad wifi on the island.. and a very strong signal if you need to download something big, from the comfy lounge area at reception.

Cons: The main buzz of the ireland is in the Centro, which is 20 mins away by bus. But this is conveniently located for adventures north of the ireland, so don't let that put you off.

Cons: We were disappointed that the staff weren't able to speak English, even though the hotel mentioned English as one of the langues spoken on their Booking profile. However the staff were friendly and with our small smattering of Portuguese we managed fine.

Cons: The property is dated and in disrepair. Décor is circa 1979. The staff is minimal, are substantially allergic to smiling and speak little or no English. Staff was unwilling to accommodate our request fro an extra pillow. Air conditioners are located above the headboards of the beds and rip condensate on your head in the middle of the night. Breakfast was unappetizing and same exact foods put out every day. Sausages sickened my son.
