Staff very nice. Room clean. Food excellent.
quite and bed very comfortable
rude staff but front desk nice
The location was excellent. The staff was very nice. The beds were very comfy and slept well.
Our room was not cleaned/serviced without us having to ask for it to be done late in the day. The hotel was under renovation and the VERY loud noises were directly above our room. We asked to be moved and were told they could not accommodate us. The doorstop was bolted to the floor and my husband stubbed his toe and it is all black and bruised (we did not report it). No microwave in the room. For the price we paid, compared to other Marriott’s we have stayed at, I would not go back to this one. If this were the first Marriott I had stayed in, I would never stay in another, but I have stayed in others, and they more than met our expectations.
The proximity to the Center made it worthwhile. The pool area was beautiful. The bed and linens were good. We were in an “old” room and our other party was in the renovated area.
They need MUCH more staff. The service for meals and in the bar was horrific! Not really staff’s fault that they simply don’t have the bodies. Most were very pleasant, but you could tell they were frustrated with the understaffing. $10 extra for internet is ridiculous. At least we didn’t have to pay to park! The coffee? TERRIBLE!! The water was like out of a swimming pool! At least the chlorine smell made it seem clean. Doesn’t make a good cup of coffee, though. In the process of a much needed renovation. Our room was pretty beaten up and outdated.
The hotel is perfectly situated by the Space and Rocket Center (walking distance) and has a convenient restaurant, coffee service, bar, gym and pool.
Some of the rooms are renovated and some are not. Our bathroom was straight out of the 50s with the old bathtub and pink tiles.
Whether visiting the awe-inspiring U.S. Space & Rocket Center Museum, Space Camp, Davidson Center or NASA Training Facility (we are the only Hotel on the property), Redstone Arsenal and Marshall Space Flight Center (just next door) or the close-by Cummings Research Park, the Huntsville Marriott has long been the logical, first choice of savvy travelers preferring a full-service hotel. The sparkling new Great Room provides food, beverage and gathering places for colleagues and families. Add an additional restaurant plus In-Room Dining and you’re sure to enjoy your favorite food in a comfortable setting. Enjoy peaceful rest in rooms and suites featuring down-filled duvets and pillows. Guests stay fit in the outdoor heated pool while praising the large fitness center. The renowned Bridge Street Towne Center attracts shoppers from near and far. Other nearby attractions include the 112-acre Botanical Garden, Von Braun Center, EarlyWorks Museums and Huntsville Museum of Art.
