Historic Hotel lives in the past
We loved the location of this hotel. It was down town on what is commonly called bathhouse row. Also the view from the balcony was beautiful.
While lots of things did looks historic, we felt like they were using that as an excuse to not take care of the hotel. The beds were horrible, the carpet was stained all over. The tv was tiny. The hotel looked like they bough random furniture and just tried to make it look fancy. One just has a piece of marble sitting on top, but you could tell it wasnt made that way. The hotel needs lots of preserving, and restoring.
Really enjoyed the location and view of the mountain.
The room needed a little more attention but overall great for the price.
Outstanding staff and idyllic location. A little dated, but full of charm and an excellent value.
House keeping just left a note that they wouldn't clean our room because of personal items. Kind of hard to stay in a place without personal items.
Need major updates or renovation
I liked the location
The beds were too small for doubles. The rooms and hotel over all need some updates.
Appropriate for the money.
Location, and proximity to all restaurants and shops.
Vintage feel of rooms.
It was cheap and close to where I needed to be
1. They didn't process my payment correctly. Twice 2. They didn't clean the room. Twice 3. They left trash out when they did clean. 4. The staff didn't know how to use their own cable which did not match their guide, and they knew it didn't match. 5. The patio light didn't work. 6. The hallways smelled like old tobacco. 7. Hot/Cold Water was not reliable.
Great location and staff
The central heat and air in the rooms was sub par at best
I liked that it was on the main strip and within walking distance of shopping and restaurants.
Ok, Im usually pretty passive about some things, but It was pretty dirty. My one year would walk around the hotel room barefoot and within 5mins, his feet were black on the bottom because it was so dirty. The air conditioning is from like the forties lol (Its just old). The caulking in the shower was coming off. Balcony was dirty and the chairs on the porch were falling apart. I had Clorox wipes and wiped all the surfaces off and they were all dusty it a few things stuck on them. They used extension cords to plug in lights. They don't have cribs. They dont have refrigerators and microwaves in every room. Just old and dingy. Creepy back ally. The staff were less than excited to be there nor were they eager to accomodate you. Not for family with little kids. It was ok in the end. We made it work. But probably wont stay there again. But, I'm not sure if I can complain for $35/night.
The building was in disrepair. The beds were antiquated and worn out. The hotel had a dingy unpleasant feeling about it. The staff acted as if they were confused and did not know what they were doing. I tried to twice to make a reservation at the spa and both times I stood in the door and was ignored by the receptionist, staff, and what appeared to be part of the manager staff as they were complaining about other employees. We felt unsafe and uncomfortable during our stay and cancelled our second night reservation.
