Great location, and helpful staff, were able to allow early booking in to our room.
Nothing except opening window on 6th floor.
This is an excellent moderately priced hotel in a very good location with exceptional staff who are friendly, efficient and helpful. The hotel has all the usual facilities, sadly not a swimming pool, plus a good gym and a laundry for guests use. The breakfast is very good. Taxis were ordered whenever needed and the whole experience was superb.
good value, clean, good location and helpful staff
Most of the guests were European or American but as usual the selections were heavily Asian. Makes no sense.
I have been in 59 countries and stayed in hundreds and hundreds of hotels. I have never had the type of experience I had at this hotel. This was my sixth trip to Vietnam. It underscored one of the reasons this country that I love is not ready for prime time tourism: inadequate laws. I booked this hotel for nineteen days. I had specifically requested a quiet room in more than one email. I was assured I would have one. EMM bills its hotels as “Sleep well. Start fresh.” Laughable. I was in Saigon volunteer teaching and helping students involved with a nonprofit organization. I needed the most basic service a hotel is supposed to provide: a quiet night’s sleep. I was on the second floor. Next door were four dogs that spent the entire night, every night, barking hysterically and, when traffic was heavy on this NOT “quiet residence street”, they howled. I asked the hotel staff to come with me and ask the neighbor to just take the dogs into the house at night. He refused, saying he was “raising dogs and it’s the hotel’s business, not mine.” The barking and howling went on night after night. It was the same during the day. I went out on the restaurant balcony to have a quiet drink and write in my journal – nonstop barking drove me back inside. I took photos of the dogs from my hotel window and will post them with this review. The hotel told me that there is no law in Vietnam that prevented this nightly, ongoing disturbance next to a hotel. Incredible. This was not a dive hotel in the backpacker area but a nice hotel for which I paid good money. From December 21-23, the hotel scheduled roof repair. It was horrible but at least it ended at 5pm. Not the construction being carried on by the government next door on the opposite side of the hotel from the barking dogs. The walls shook in my room on the 12th roof where I had moved to try and decrease the sound of the dogs barking. The construction pounding went on until 9 pm every night. Again – I was
The room was ok otherwise. Breakfast was good but nothing out of the ordinary. Staff was friendly but not overly helpful with bags and such, not that it is much needed but it stood out. The location however was good. With lots of restaurants and shopping streets nearby.
The beds were too uncomfortable. Hard is one thing but these also had the springs piercing your back for the entire night.
