The staff was really amazing, they did their best to help us when we we needed any assistance. The location was excellent.
The room had a bad smell, it was worse in the bathroom. We had to flush the toilet three times and it made an awful whistling noise for a while. The carpet was damp and there was is only one microwave in the whole hotel. It was a shame we had trouble opening the refrigerator
The bed was super comfy. The location was great, right on the beach. The staff was kind. The spa was amazing.
It’s looks like it hasn’t been renovated in a while. The tv didn’t work, a few of our lamps didn’t work. The shower is either super hot or super cold, no in between. The staff was kind, however incredibly slow. I called weeks in advance to make sure a crib was in the room when we got there. We got in late and no crib. It took them almost an hour to bring one to our room. Another time we asked for additional towels, and tea (I was sick). Both times they took so long, our kids were already asleep and they knocked on the door and woke them up. They only had 3 elevators, that were all very slow. You had to hit them at the right time if you wanted a chance to get on.
Access to the beach and multiple pools
No microwave for people with families with small children.... both annoying and disappointing. Caused a me to rate much lower.

I loved the location and the outdoor amenities. The food and drinks were very nice and I appreciated the complementary towels.
I didn't like the amount of times the staff called me on the phone. I didn't like that they charged me in the middle of my stay instead of the end. I also didn't like the bed or bedding and I wished the room had a microwave.
I loved the ocean view from my room.
The TV guide for the different channels was sticky. The bathroom needed an exhaust fan.
I really cannot say enough about everything I enjoyed at this hotel. Location, view, friendly and helpful staff and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on are only a few highlights of my favorite parts of my stay. We also ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was wonderful as was the waitstaff. I can't wait to plan a trip to come back.
Due to an emergency we did not get to stay after checking in. We received a call that because of a forest fire threatening our home we didn't get to stay I think a refund of at least 3nights should be in order but that won't happen. I will warn everyone I know to avoid using this agency for bookings.
Workmen started working at 7:30 am in the room next to us. It was very disturbing. Nothing was done even after I called the front desk.
Perfect weekend getaway
I surprised my wife with a weekend trip to HHI for Valentines Day and Marriott did not disappoint. The rooms are recently remodeled so everything was clean and new. We enjoyed working out in the fitness room before going out to dinner each night. Although it was too cold to swim, we enjoyed the views of the ocean from the pool deck. The staff was friendly and professional the entire time, wishing us a happy Valentines Day with a smile on multiple occasions. I recommend highly- great value for the level of service and amenities.
