Lovely, huge property, each room is actually a cottage (big rooms, with lots of space) and the tasteful design made it that the bathroom is another interior cottage. All amenities are provided and the property is tastefully decorated in colonial style, it has a pool, big garden, bar area. The staff is very approachable, explained us lots of things, offered advice and details on what to see in the area, especially in Kruger (Skukuza camp - Lower Sabie - Crocodile Bridge route). Also, advance communication was really good, staff sent us very detailed instructions on which roads to take to get to the property, info on which roads have tolls etc. We also had dinner at the property (notified them in advance that we wanted dinner, we paid separately for it) - which was great, 3 course menu with fish as a starter, ostrich steak as main and ice cream as desert, just perfect! Free parking, security guards 24/7 at the entrance and some monkeys wondering around. Very relaxing atmosphere, I would recommend this lodge!
Just be aware that due to the drought in the last few years, the river bed changed and various sediments now infiltrate the water (from the tap, shower, toilet etc) - water is totally safe, drinkable, soft, but it looks dirty, it has minerals in it which give it a brownish colour, which doesn’t look great. Again, it’s nothing to worry about and it’s nothing the Lodge can do about it (it’s in the whole area), but just be aware and don’t get scared. From the main road, it’s about 2km drive to the property - the “road” is marked, but the bush is quite high (we went in Jan), so it could be a bit tricky to drive in a small car, maybe if they cut the bush in the centre of the “road” it could be easier.
the breakfast was superb. the hosts were amazing. the place is quite, which was good for resting. We loved the outdoor view. the staff was friendly. We saw plenty of animals too, which was even more beautiful.
TV in the rooms is not there......I wish they could do something about that. Instead of having to go and watch it in the main room.
Breakfast was good. They serve eggs, mushroom and bacon as hot plate. Everything is tasty and good. Location is great. Nice and quite place to relax. Very good located very close to most activities around. Perfect value for the price.
The owners and stuff are super friendly! It was so warm and welcoming. Our comfort was their main proitority. Their food was amazing. The rooms are extremely clean. I really enjoyed my stay here!!!
Nothing. Everything was perfect
