I thought the location was amazing !!! The look of the hotel is beautiful and the service was superb, really friendly, professional and helpful. I also met the Manager a Frenchman called Adrien when I checked in who was really helpful and polite which set the tone for a nice stay. The initial design of the decor was also very good and I liked the design of the lobby bar.
It was rather hot, there seemed to be some problem with the AC units so they were using lots of electric fans which is not what you expect from an Accor M Gallery (I am a platinum member). I also felt that the property could do with some investment in the facilities as it is looking a little tired around the edges.
Ms Pham the Front Office Manager is excellent
Perfect position, in the city centre of Hanoi. Close to the Old Quarter, the heath of Hanoi. Room very comfortable and top level staff. Highly recommended
After traveling all over, sleeping on some cardboard hard beds, and enduring a five hour bus journey, falling into the king size bed was a heavenly sleeping experience. The room was super quiet, the bed super comfortable, and the shower was the nicest I have ever used. The modern decor was cool. The hotel was walking distance from Hoan Kiem Lake, and lots of exciting things in the area.
The hallways didn't seem to live up to 5 star status. The carpet seemed old, and there were lots of scrapes and marks on the walls. There were like 8 million light switches in the room, and it was a bit confusing to figure out which ones did what. The toilet flushing was a little fickle. In the description, it said the room would have a courtyard or city view. I e-mailed to ask for a city view, and got a response saying they would get us one. However, when we arrived it was a courtyard view. I'm sure the buffet breakfast was excellent, but $20 per person seemed a bit steep. It'd be nice if they offered some kind of complimentary meal. This was a really nice place, but maybe didn't quite live up to our expectation of what a 5 star hotel would be.
Great and comfy rooms, excellent beds
Very noisy, you hear everything especially if there are kids and teenagers in the next rooms
