The room was big! And beautiful!
The staff was "too" pleasant. Nor helpful at all. The hotel sold itself in way that was not real. Wannabe hip. The shower did not work good. Water on the floor. Bad feeling to hav toilets and shower in a cupboard. The wterbasin diid not pour out the water.
Stylish, clean, comfortable beds and pillows. Nice cosmetic for body and hair.
Would love to have a breakfast buffet including to the room rate.
The room décor and bed was excellent! Shower and toilet separate with wonderful soap/schampoo/conditioner. The restaurant had interesting menu and very nice location beside the water.
The check in check out was a bit messy with the desk open and no line up. Only one person serving many people in the morning.
The beds and the duvet covers are a paradise. Neither topper nor duvet covers have been economized here. The sleep is fantastic. The room wasn't huge, but furnished with a lot of charm and turned the structural difficulties of the house into a comfortable room. The staff is exceptionally great, helpful and very personal.
Sir Nikolai—with curated art, vintage rugs, and polished marble throughout—is a showcase for artisanal quality and tradition, seamlessly blending local heritage and international sophistication in the shadow of one of Hamburg’s oldest churches, Sankt Katharinen. When guests are not retreating to one of the hotel’s 94 luxurious guestrooms, they can relax with a cocktail by a fireplace in the lbrary or by a second fireplace at the patio, a glassed conservatory incorporating the old courtyard and featuring wooden flooring. The patio also boasts a glass roof that opens effortlessly onto Hamburg’s outside world, enhancing the view to a projected art installation and the green walls of the upper floors’ courtyard. Izakaya Asian Kitchen & Bar, which begins at the patio, stretches majestically to two sun terraces that sit high above the historical Nikolaifleet.
