They had a great staff and great lofty rooms. Also close to the Conference Center.
The rooms look nice and the facilities are alright. The personel is really helpfull. Moreover, the location of the hotel could not be better if you want to go to Hamburg for a citytrip or for business.
The room was a bit dusty and although the breakfast was nice, it was simply too expensive. It was also a pitty that there were only German channels on the television. This was, however, partly compensated by the free wifi.
The rooms were large and the hotel had a good ambience
Reception is only open 7-22h so no staff there at night
Nice german style 19th century building, high sealing and huge room.
Definetely not a business hotel. Check-in after 2200 has to be announced and the room key yo be picked from a nearby location.
Clean and comfortable. Staff helpful in letting us check in early. Lovely high ceilings, decorative tilework and wooden floors.
There was no phone in the room.
Very friendly and helpful staff who spoke excellent English. Huge Victorian style rooms in this traditional old building. Very comfortable beds. There is free tea and coffee available in the lounge area with some space to work also with free wireless internet. Would be great location for a weekend in Hamburg just a few minutes walk from the City and the Central Station. Would definately recommend this hotel for business or leasure.
If you have a car, the parking is on street. No problem after business hours but hard work to find a space during the day.
Rooms and close proximity to city centre
Only German television available
Great staff, nice atmosphere in this hotel if you like an older, boutique hotel rather than something modern. Good location.
Would have liked phone in room, although the manager did let me use the reception phone and did not charge for my calls.
Friendly Staff, good location and cavernous rooms meant it was the best hotel I had booked using this system. I would definitely use this hotel again.
The Hotel staff were extremely helpful and spoke very good english. The location was very good - in a nice quiet area where we (myself and 12 year old daughter) felt completely safe walking in the evening. We didn't use public transport during our stay as we found the main attractions (Christmas markets) were about a 10-15 minute walk away. The room was very clean and nicely decorated and had everything we required. The breakfast buffet was well worth having - well presented and plenty of choice.
There is nothing bad I could say about the hotel
