Pros: The mini quiche for breakfast were amazing. My husband, my daughter and I loved them. It was so great that breakfast was included at no extra charge. The Front Desk Staff person when we checked in was amazing. When she saw me arrive on crutches she quickly switched rooms so we had a room closer to the elevator. The hotel is in a great location. Close to both Spring Garden Road and the Downtown. This was perfect for my daughter as she was within walking distance of anywhere she wanted to go to get food or shop and she was also able to meet her friends downtown and not have to worry about getting home safely.

Cons: We had a room with a water view and when it rains there are major leaks at not only our window but quite a few rooms on the water side, so the bell staff told us. I am talking about a lot if water coming from the top of window well. We were given a new room down the hall. All this just before we left to go out for dinner and NYE celebrations thank goodness. Imagine coming back to that mess in the wee hours!! I suggest you check the weather forecast and if rain expected, ask for a room at the front and not waterside.

The maid seemed rushed, especially compared to the room we had the weekend before when we were in the city for business.

Cons: We didn't like having to move our car out of the parking lot between 8am and 4 pm. They directed us to streets that we could park on around the college but they we alreadu full. We had to park blocks away. This was a disadvantage and nuciance. Beds were okay. Dorm beds...but we slept ok. The streets are a little noisy around the college. But all in all it was a good stay. On the money if your sticking to a budget.

Cloudy water and not able to see the bottom is not a good thing and screams bacteria in hot tubs. So that being said we did not use. There was also no towels in the pool area and when I mentioned it to the security guard in passing he said he was lucky to have gotten his hands on some earlier but they ran out fast. It’s a rare item apparently. The following morning while waiting in line for the buffet the workers were very annoyed and frustrated with each other’s. After watching customer service at its finest and waiting 15 min in line for breakfast we were informed that breakfast only applies to gold and platinum members. (Additional 15$ per person). Regardless we remained postive, had a good night sleep and made the best of our experience. However we will never again stay at Atlantica.
