This does NOT feel like your typical motel. This place is HUGE. It feels more like a Sheraton or Hilton. The room is MUCH bigger and nicer than the rooms I’ve stayed in at “fancier” hotels. The parking lot is quite big, unlike most motels. There’s never any stress over scrambling to find a parking space and circling around the building ten times waiting for someone to leave their spot. I came here for a Bassnectar event at the Van Andel Arena and it was only about a 10-minute drive (or 18 minutes during rush hour traffic). The staff was also very pleasant! On the first night there was some rude guests staying in the floor above our room and their dogs were barking for what felt like hours....... My friends and I found out what room the dogs were in and promptly went to the front desk to ask the woman working there to do something to stop it. She immediately went up to their room to fix it. I still don’t know what exactly she did, but the dogs did eventually finally shut up. The whole stay was great!
