Location for Cheltenham ideal.
Hotel went into corona virus precautions at start which included closing all customer services ie breakfast, dinner, bar & meeting areas. Staff tried hard to satisfy customers with a collect breakfast service to rooms and assisting where possible. On Sat & Sun the catering lady went out of her way to make us toast, jam eggs etc to take back into the room; in addition to the supplied breakfast boxes which was very appreciated. Evenings took a beer back to room from bar. Plenty of hand gel available, no shortage of loo paper :)
Unfortunately the catering lady on Monday was miserable as hell, took two attempts to serve us toast, no jam, butter or knives and really spoilt it for the other staff on feedback, needs a word in her ear about customer service even under difficult times as at the moment. There was also a fault with one of the lifts which would not close doors properly. It took sometimes 5 mins to get them to close as you could not change lifts.
Car parking good. Reception staff lovely. Hotel has a very clean, modern feel. Location is good as it is just a short walk to the bus stop where the Number 10 bus goes into Gloucester or Cheltenham every 10 minutes.
No hand towels (two bath towels only.) Sticks to stir coffee with (what is wrong with a tea spoon). En-suite is a prefabricated plastic box that takes up the corner of a medium sized double room. I was expecting more quality for a medium priced Hotel. The bar / Dining area / Reception is open plan and inevitably noisy.
Comfortable but basic
Nice clean and comfortable room
Choice of breakfast
Service at the counter were good, polite and helpful. Comfy and spacious room.
Parking was crowded but able to find a space.
