The breakfast, the lounge donwstairs and the location. Friendly staff.
Very warm and comfortable room in a lovely small but beautifully appointed hotel
The hotel is very conveniently situated close to the University and the West End, with public transportation close by. Rooms are small but tidy, and as I had a room to the back, it as very quiet as well. Breakfast is good - you get a full English breakfast - that alone might be worth the stay, The bar is open late.
The room was very small - ok for one or two nights but if you need to work in the evening it would be too small.
the hotel staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The bedroom was clean and homely. A very good breakfast was provided, nothing was too much. The hotel had lots of information regarding local venues. This enabled us to have a stress free weekend enjoying a family wedding and shopping in Glasgow.
Make sure you have plenty of time to enjoy the freshly prepared cooked breakfast
Room was very, very small and in the basement. However very clean, friendly and and overall good for the price and location,
I liked the size of the room, the lovely service at breakfast, bar open until we went to bed, convinient location.
The hose could be fixed up high, so had to hold it all the time.
The lounge was lovely
The very small attic bedroom avoid rooms 15 and 16 if you can, the bathroom was very small and noisy with the waste system.
staff and breakfast
Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent full breakfast included in price of stay, free hi-speed internet via own laptop in lounge or via in-lounge PC, charming building, room had a nice bedroom feel rather than generic hotel feeling. 10 min to subway. Overall a great place to stay.
Room was on 4th floor and there was no lift - a real challenge wih heavy luggage. Fortunately, the fellow at the desk cheerfully volunteered to help with the bags. I would request a room on the 2nd floor for my next stay. Bathroom was tiny and could use a bit of upgrading. Carpets in hallway were a bit shabby. However, none of these things significantly deterred from my overall positive experience.
