7.5 Good
Pros: Appartment offered good privacy.
Cons: Extra couch bed was very hard.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was just perfect: space, staff, ambient, family hotel...
Cons: -
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious comfortable rooms with stunning views. Friendly and helpful staff in restaurants and reception. Pool and wellness centre was a big bonus after skiing. Proximity to bus stop to get to the slopes. Food quality excellent and consistent-special mention to wine selections at bar. Wonderful breakfast service with plenty of choice
Cons: Old style hotel with dated feel. A huge operation and lots of walking to get from one place to the next. Limited room service. Need more translations to English.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Check in and check out very easy. Staff friendly but also very professional. Location is great - excellent views. Breakfast is fantastic - so much choice, everything very fresh, staff attentive. Evening meals delicious. Leisure facilities excellent.
Cons: Nothing.
6.3 Good
Pros: A bit outdated hotel/furniture/atmosphere , staff is at best mediocre, slow at dinner, not looking up to care for guests, etc. spa experience was also mediocre, overcrowded pool, no chairs to relax available, you have to get the robes only at the pool (which can be a 15min walk) versus in your room, etc. Variety of food (buffet) was great though and Garmisch is always a nice destination

Pros: I was impressed by the professionalism of Pascal Lambert at the Restaurant who tried his best to make at ease all People. You Need more of such Restaurant staffs
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was amazing - the amenities, staff and overall surround were great. Special mention to the Riesersee, beautiful views, cristalline water.
Cons: Only downside was the lack of communication regarding the changes on dinner - we had a half pension reservation, which included a buffet for breakfast lunch. On the first day, we were informed that dinner would be server in the a la carte restaurant - the food was really good, but not we were expecting (we were on a skiing trip, so more = better in terms of dinner :) )
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable surroundings. Good breakfast. Great location.
Cons: A little pricey.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This Spa Hotel was super! Comfortable rooms, kind staff. Very tasty breakfast, welcome drink! Spa area was beautiful , clean . Near Hotel was Riessersee - there can walk around the lake - beautiful sights!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was very comfortable. Superb breakfast and friendly staff Gym had all the equipment I needed and there was a lovely pool and jacuzzi.
Cons: Could hear noise from the corridor, ie people talking, opening and closing of doors.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was superb! I believe the booking.com pictures do not make justice to this hotel. I told Front Desk they should upload new ones. The breakfast was bar raising! Super generous and offering great variety of food. Rooms were spacious and clean. We loved the studio feeling and large balconies. The dinner at Seehaus was just worth the city. The hotel is on top of a hill next to a lake looku at the German Alpes. I cannot imagine a better location in the area. We will come back!
Cons: The red carpet on the floor. It did look outdated but I noticed they were replacing it in other areas of the large complex Building.

Arrival: The train station is 0.9 miles (1.5 km) away from the hotel. Innsbruck and Munich airports are 37.3 miles (60 km) and 74.6 miles (120 km) away respectively. By car, take the A95 highway.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is situated in a verygood place and rooms are good and excellent breakfast
Cons: Most of the staff they dint u understand English
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast, fast wifi, coffee facilities in the room.
Cons: Too limited offer a la carte for dinner.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location of the hotel is excellent especially for those who intent to use the ski lifts/facilities. There are very good restaurants in the nearby area and the hotel its in a quiet & safe area of Parterkirchen. Really close to the Garmisch city center as well within 5' of drive. Breakfast was just ok. Nothing to resemble the generous German breakfast you will get in other German hotels. Cleanliness of the rooms was very good also.
Cons: The staff of the hotel. Totally unprofessional, Rude and Impolite to say the least. Especially the staff of the restaurant (dinner hours). We only visited the hotel restaurant only once and due to the exceptionally poor and unprofessional service we decided to eat in other nearby restaurants for the rest of our stay.
7.1 Good
Pros: Sauna
Cons: Way overpriced for facilities, location, breakfast,. A noisy hotel and very bright lights out the front is like daylight at midnight.

Pros: Easy access, staff were friendly and helpful. Easy hotel to navigate. The rooms were clean and well ordered.
Cons: Quite dated and a little down at heel. Only had one pillow. Shame there isn't a restaurant or bar in the hotel. Not enough parking on site.
3.1 Mediocre

Pros: Friendly staff! Good value! Nice breakfast!
Cons: Not connected to Skibus / Hausberg
10.0 Excellent

6.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast is good, my rating based on the orange juice is 7/10. The room was clean, the bath is small but looks good. The hotel is quite close to the pedestrian zone of Partenkirchen, where are lot of restaurants. It is worth to book a table.
Cons: The hotel was partialy refurbished, from outsige looks much more worst as from inside. The floor in the room needs to be changed.

5.0 Okay
Pros: location is very good, breakfast was ok, but not as used to be
Cons: does not match 4star hotel. no safety box in the room, no welcoming water as used to be last year and last 15 years, no robes have been given for swimming pool, some special prior booking was needed although we are clients for 15 years. no apologies from staff! we are clients for 15 years, but the first time service was not like used to be before, renovation undergoing- cleanliness was 5/10, for some special guests special menu for breakfast -although room prices are the same!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Exellent breakfast..perfect location.close to skibus.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: lovely hotel in a prime location! rooms are newly renovated and are spacious and clean. staff is friendly and spa area is great for relaxing after a day on the slopes. right across the street from the bus stop for the ski bus, 15 min walk to the train station (or a $10 cab ride), and 5-10 min to great restaurants and the center of town. also got a facial in the beauty salon and it was great. they have a parking garage as well if you drive yourself. would definitely stay here again!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel area was really good, it is very close to the skicenter. I definitly like the breakfast. I like small spa-area, but u dont have to more expectations about it. Every days they cleaned up our room, this was really great. And Finally the stuff celebrated my birthday, that i found really kind and cute. I recommended everyone to skilover to enjoy this peace and taste.
Cons: The way from garage to reseptions could be signed, it is hard to find to reseptions.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location is very good and service is nice. Quality of food is good. Dinners were very nice. Sauna and swimming pool very good.
Cons: The rooms very dusty,I suppose they never washed floor properly. hotel is old and it needs some refurbishment. Lack of communication between stuff and management.
7.0 Good
Cons: Nice friendly hotel. Comfortable. Two problems: - Internet was poor in the room. This should not be a problem in 2020 with modern Routers. - The curtains had no dark material (many hotels have this) - the room was very bright at night from the outside light.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We loved how convenient the location was 5 minutes to pedestrian downtown district and 8 minutes walk to main train station/Zugspitz station, and 8 minutes to walking trails. Lovely breakfast included in sun room, nice amenities - spa, sauna, pool, and gym. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Cons: Beds are hard, and decor is a little dated, but not offensive. We arrived prior to check in and they made us wait a few hours to officially check in - not unexpected. However, their accommodation for holding luggage leaves you with reservations. Instead of housing the luggage in a secured location we were instructed to place it in an unused conference room that anyone could walk into. We trusted it would be sufficient monitored and we did not encounter an issue - the set up is unusual in my experience.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast. Room was recently renovated and cosy.
Cons: The room could have more space for clothes. The ski room needs an update. The sauna-area was separate from swimming pool and there was no stove in sauna.

7.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable double bed, nice town-mountain view, the essential toiletries in bathroom, good breakfast buffet.
Cons: Small room with bad sound insulation from other rooms and the street noise. The heater not working properly, a little bit noisy and not enough warm in winter time. The parking place is not reserved.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: First of all we get a room upgrade which was unexpected and pleasant, of course, especially as we traveled with newborn, so we needed a lot of space. Breakfast is good. Staff is great. No complains about cleaning.
Cons: We mentioned that we travel with newborn kid and we got a room on the 2d floor and there is no elevator, so it was hard to bring up and down a stroller several times a day. ( but as I mentioned before it was an upgrade so can't really complain)

Pros: location . Good value. Friendly atmosphere
7.0 Good
Pros: The service was excellent - made us feel very welcome
Cons: The breakfast was poor - during our last visit, approximately 3 years ago - the breakfast was the best we had experienced and the main reason for returning. The next time, we will book the room without breakfast.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice vibe and Bavarian style
Cons: Breakfast is rubbish needs improvement not worth 11 euro feels like little more effort would help !
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Central location, comfortable bed, linen clean
Cons: Price too high for a shoddy apartment; poor equipment in apartment - no plug in kitchen sink, poor cutlery and inadequate glasses, crockery was basic, bathroom towels were thin and old, carpets worn, floorboards uneven, outer security poor.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The internet connection was sadly really bad. Not suitable for work. But the staff were all very friendly and the room was very comfy.

Pros: Very comfortable and cozy hotel with a lovely and varied wellness/spa area. Clean, nicely decorated and although fully booked, hotel did not feel crowded. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and the location was right in the city center, but quiet. Food was good, bavarian light.
Cons: Lunch buffets offered warm options, but not clear what was vegetarian. Service at dinner a bit slow and the young (perhaps new) waiter had no clue about wine.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Food and spa facilities. Very welcoming. When it snows it is very special. Alway enjoy my time here.

Pros: Great breakfast!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The spacious room, with great coffee machine Breakfast, which is one of the best I’ve ever had in a hotel Dinner, which is great value for guests The pool and wellness area Location, only a short walk to town Courteous and helpful staff
Cons: Nothing, apart from having to leave after six very enjoyable days!
7.5 Good
Pros: Spa
Cons: Dress code for breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was really great and the hotel looked nice. I thought the price must be wrong because the hotel seemed much nicer than the price range said. Location was great and the bus to the ski area stopped just about 100 meters away.
Cons: When I came from skiing I was going to get some of the snack I had been told was available at certain hours and there was nothing there. And people were talking rather loudly outside my window several times during my stay there. WIth open window it was a bit much. I think these were workers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great property. Nice room, friendly staff. Would stay again for sure!
Cons: Could use better pillows on the bed. To be fair. We did not ask for any more pillows. I’m sure they would happily bring more had we asked.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very Beautiful hotel- Design, location . Breakfast is amazing!! - staff: could be trained ( and learn a courtesy) a bit better, to communicate correctly the information. As at the check in was a bit of a mess. Have been promised that my room would be ready in an hour, at the end had to wait 5 h. Cause 3 different employees was saying totally 3 different things.
Cons: Request a double bed, had a twin stick together but without cover top on the mattress, so little discomfort, but still ok.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful hotel, with wonderful style and atmosphere. We had a room with a balcony and view of the park and mountains. The room was comfortable, clean and full of nice little touches. We loved the smell of the wood. Staff were great and the breakfast was superb. There is a free car park under the hotel, which is easy to use.
Cons: The range of options for dinner in the restaurant for vegetarians is pretty limited. You'd end up having the same thing many times if stayed for more than 2 nights. As a British person who likes his tea it would be nice if there was a fridge in the room to keep the milk fresh - but only if it was quiet!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is one of the BEST hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying at. The rooms are exceptionally clean, the staff is incredibly friendly and the food is amazing! We stayed in the top suite room and it was worth every single penny. A private sauna and hotpot - it was simply heaven! This was our second time back and I will definitely return. I recommend reservations for the dinner at the restaurant because it fills up. The food is SUPERB!
Cons: Everything at this hotel is exceptional!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and style of the hotel were excellent, it’s close to the Center but without the trafic, lovely seating lounge overlooking a park, staff were excellent, rooms clean light and modern but warm in style. Would defiantly go there again and again.

7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel's location is great in the old town and is close to good restaurants within walking distance. Quadruple room is spacious; beds are comfortable but pillows are THIN. The breakfast is pretty good: breads, chesses, fruits, cold cuts, boiled eggs, veggies, tea, and coffee. Safe underground parking nearby; pay 5 euro a day. Convenient restaurant downstairs. Overall, the hotel is ok a little pricey for the simplicity of the room..
Cons: There is no elevator for the luggage so a little inconvenient to go to the 3 floor with heavy winter luggage . Luckily, we were in the back room so no issues with the church bells (as other clients mentioned) which in the front can be loud. The staff is ok but I recommend them to ask for TAX money when people check in or out, not when seated for breakfast.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Big room, great breakfast, good restaurant offering local and common cuisine
Cons: Had to pay cash for tourist tax could not include in overall bill:((
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast and location was fantastic. Loved the price of the room.
Cons: Extra fee for staying (€18 for 3 nights) should be changed during booking not in the middle of staying.

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The room was clean and the position is good.
Cons: 100€ for such a place is just ridiculous. The man at the reception is absolutely unfriendly and rude. The reception is almost always unattended and you have to wait very long before someone appears! If you call nobody goes on the phone or they just hang up. The bed is hard like a stone and the pillow is 1 cm thick. Parking is a problem because they only have 3 slots and way more guests than that!
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: TERRIBLE experience, would NEVER recommend. The WC and the bathroom are too small, people with mobility difficulties couldn't use it. There's no elevator, only stairs. The room for 5 people have only three power plugs, two of them are near the beds. The "receptionist" (maybe the owner, because it is the only person that works there) treated us very bad. He is a person without any respect for people and VERY AGRESSIVE. He didn't helped us when we asked him about the bus service in the city. He laughed of us disrespectfully when we asked him questions and told us we are from "another world" because we didn't know how does de bus service works (?). Besides that, we asked him if it was possible to leave our things in the hostel after the check in during the day and he said that it was ok (HE DID NOT TELL US ANYTHING ABOUT THE TIME WE MUSS TAKE OUR THINGS). When we arrived at 7:30 pm, he expelled us of the hostel in front of the other guests and told us to "fuck off" and "to get the hell out of the place" because the limit time to take our things was at 7 pm (WE DIDNT KNOW IT BECAUSE HE DIDNT TELL US). We can't understand how does a person like him works with tourism.

Hilleprandt - Adults Only - Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Building
2
8.9 Excellent (374 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is our second time staying at the hotel. We stayed in a downstairs room this time, which had more of a sitting area with small table but the bathroom was smaller, whereas the upstairs room with balcony had a larger bathroom with no table. So it’s preference. We enjoy the fact that it is an adults only hotel. The breakfast is great and has a little something for everyone. Very clean and an easy 12-15 minute walk from downtown and to the Garmish Classic ski resort. The couple that work there are wonderful as is their yellow lab!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our first trip to Garmisch and I couldn’t recommend a better property to stay! Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by the most friendly hosts! What a relief to find they spoke excellent English! Check in was quick and easy and having previously emailed the owner, She made an excellent dinner reservation on our behalf. Talk about customer service! The rooms & facilities were very clean, but the most amazing part was the breathtaking view of Zugspitze from the wraparound balcony attached to our room! A view beyond your wildest Bavarian dreams! Each morning we were greeted by our hosts and pleased to find a complementary Continental breakfast! Out of all the places that you can stay in Garmisch, I doubt that you could find one more perfectly placed for all of the attractions that you could possibly ever want to do it the former Winter Olympic town. It’s ideal location in between the Olympic stadium, the Zugspitzbahn and the walking district of Garmisch filled with great shops and restaurants! The hotel offers whirlpool and sauna that we did not get to take it vantage of, but I’m sure is delightful! We eagerly await our return and would highly recommend this hotel to any guest!
Cons: If you’re looking for a large resort like hotel with a in-house restaurant and spa services this is not your answer.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Easy walk to town, train and skiing. Staff were very lovely and very welcoming.
Cons: A bit dated but still lovely
9.0 Excellent
Pros: A small and friendly hotel, located just a few minutes walk from the Zugspitze railway station, which in turn is next to the main railway station. It's also around 5 minutes to the center of Garmisch, and lots of good restaurants are easily reached. We slept well, and the bathroom was clean and modern. It's nice that they offer free tea/coffee in the afternoon, and there is a place to sit and sip on a hot drink while enjoying a view to a snow-covered peak in the distance. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Cons: It was a little warm in the room for us, although that was easily (if a tad wastefully) fixed by opening the window for a short time.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: quite place, very nice view for whole town , clean room , goog breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good view from my room, nice and clean place, friendly and helpful staffs
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a perfect place to stay! Our view was amazing, the staff was superior, and we loved our room! We could not have picked a better place!
7.1 Good
Pros: Beautiful view
Cons: Walls are very thin, noise travels. Restaurant closed early everyday, we arrived 1.5 hours before scheduled closing twice and the kitchen was closed early. The third time they were closed to host a wedding. Beautiful view, just wanted to enjoy a meal while gazing over the area.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The stunning scenery of the Alps from the front of the hotel and from the rooms was fantastic. The room was spacious and bathroom was fine. The breakfast had reasonable selections and you could order omelettes, fried eggs to compliment the other cold cuts, fruits, cereals and breads.
Cons: The place is lonely and remote and is located on a hilltop. There is perceptible lack of staff - and in fact there are no service staff available and not even a reception open on Sundays and Mondays. Check in instructions were basically stuck on the closed reception door. There was basically one person managing the reception and breakfast which obviously is a major challenge - and the quality of the service suffers.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good
Cons: Breakfast charge was not explicit
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The view is spectacular, very nice room and bathroom.
Cons: Downside is the stairs and the fact that there is no one on the reception somedays, we needed forks and knifes for some food ans could not get it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view of the mountains and the city from the Terrace is breath-taking. It's worth staying at this hotel just for the view. We paid the extra for a room with a balcony, this is a MUST as the view is stunning and the "non-balcony" rooms are smaller and have no view at all. We had a large room and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was closed when we arrived but they had left our room key and instructions in a "key box" outside the front door. The Hotel restaurant is closed Sunday & Monday so we went into town the first night. The second night we just sat on our balcony with drinks and a picnic and watched the sun go down. You can get drinks from a large well stocked fridge at the reception and pay when you leave. Breakfast (taken on the terrace with that wonderful view) was excellent. From the hotel you can walk to the Wank Mountain chair lift in about 10 mins. It's a really nice ride-up (about 20 euros return trip) and at the top there are two restaurants and a nice easy, grassy walking area with a wonderful 360 degree view of the mountains all around. . We thought this was a much better place to visit than the famous Zugspitze which we did last time and which was much more expensive (60 euros) and has a barren top which is often in the clouds. In the evening, if you walk back to the other side of the cattle grid at the road entrance you get a wonderful view of the stars with virtually no light pollution, and we were very lucky we also saw a pair of Deer.

Pros: Very professional and friendly staff. Great location.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: From first contact to actual arrival the friendliness was warm. Our very comfortable room had delightful view of Zugspitze and mountains, which was what we had come for, and it snowed just for us! The fish soup was divine, and breakfast good, but often no 'speck', and no soya milk available. The warmth and help from reception staff was outstanding. My grandaughter hopefully will maintain the happy memories I have carried for 66 years of Garmisch. One slight niggle....no lift, and many many stairs!!
Cons: All those stairs!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed in the hotel with my husband and two little daughters. The room was quite large and comfortable. The mountain view from our room was also very romantic. But the best part was the very friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely like to stay there once more because the staff treat you like family and it feels like home. My 5 year old kids enjoyed their stay so much that they didn’t want to go back home.
Cons: I can’t find anything that I disliked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpfull staff. They make a difference.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A friendly and yet relaxing welcoming.. which continued with all the staff .
6.0 Good
Pros: I loved the style of the hotel. It was very home-style, comfortable, and adorable. The desk receptionists were wonderful as well. The breakfast was good too!
Cons: We tried ordering room service (just ice cream) and after 1hr and 10 mins, I went downstairs to ask an update. The kitchen manager was clearly distressed and angry at the desk receptionist for asking. If you don't have a lot of time on your hands, I wouldn't order room service. Also, if you are on the first floor of rooms, you can most definitely hear the rooms above you and your doors shake loudly if children are running in the hallways. Come on parentals, no cardio in the hallways.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, lots of closet space. Great breakfast.
Cons: The mattress was too soft, so I had a bit of back pain the next day.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious rooms, comfy beds. Food is very good, both breakfast and supper. The spa area is nice - pool quite small but still nice to have a dip. The location is good, a short walk to the town centre for restaurants and shops, and the train station for connection to ski areas. It's a 5 min drive to the nearest ski lift, easy traffic and parking IF you set off early enough. Nice afternoon tea provided at the hotel, between 4 and 6pm.
Cons: WiFi quite poor on the top floor. Limited free parking spaces (less than 10) and if using their garage there is a E6.50 per night charge, which we hadn't been warned about. Very few channels on the TVs.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Locations and politeness staff
Cons: The price is too high compair to its quality
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb location close to train station. A stylishly decorated hotel. My room was comfortable and clean with views over mountains and ski slopes. As a single, retiree traveller the hotel staff looked after me so well. I only have complete praise for all the staff. Breakfast was great but dinners as part of 1/2 board were the standout- 4 courses each night. Each course was presented beautifully with silver service. Wine was reasonably priced as was a la Carte menu. Staff were always willing to answer my tourist and ski questions. There is a pleasant lounge area for chilling out and afternoon tea provided every afternoon. I would not hesitate to recommend Wittelsbacher Hof.
Cons: Nothing really
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was blown away by the views from my room on the third floor (see photo) as the hotel is elevated slightly also, looking down over up-town Garmisch. You can clearly make out several ski lifts and even skiers, making it ideal for 'people watchers'. To the East as well, the Zugspitze is clearly seen; made even more impressive when the mountain cuts through clouds as weather fronts advance through the Alps. Simply stunning. The staff were very friendly, accommodating, and spoke perfect English.
Cons: For those sensitive to light whilst sleeping it may be worth requesting a room facing north as the light does leak through the curtains, even at night.
