Lovely hotel well situated in a pedestrian and lively street. Hospitality and kindness of the receptionist. Modern bedroom with original decoration. Very good adress to recommand.
Arrived to a lovely warm welcome and immediately felt relaxed. It is a wonderfully bohemian hotel with so many interesting characteristics - we really loved the decor and the amazing attention to making us feel comfortable. We felt very at home. The hotel was very central and our room looked out onto a busy and interesting part of town. Great location for sampling Galway's superb night life and the very sociable bar and restaurant right next door. We loved our stay here.
Having to leave so soon - would definitely stay longer next visit.
Reception staff where fantastic very friendly and helpful Cleaner on our floor (top floor) was really nice Room was nicely decorated and comfortable
Although there was a fire escape to the back from the top floor I would not have liked to have to use it in an emergency No cooked breakfast (you could get cooked breakfast from 10.30am in bar below hotel) The bar appeared to operate separetly to the hotel?
So we arrived to the hotel, everything was great! We dropped off our stuff and headed out. When we arrived back to the hotel we were listening to Alexa(supplied in the room) the lady next door asked us to keep it down so we turned it off & went to bed. (The walls are so thin, I dont know why they have an alexa in the room)The next morning we were checking out and was told we had a €150 charge as we had spilled some water and there was damage done to the table??? I never came across a table that couldnt take a spill of water! Anyway, it wasn't even water spilled, it was a couple of ice cubes that melted on the table the night before! I was extremely disappointed by this, first off the table wasnt worth €150 (laminated, must have had a crack already in it for the water to penetrate-see photo) and how is it possible that your tables can't withstand an ice cube melting on it? I didnt even pay €150 for the room!!! Another thing to add is I never came across such a "snooty stuck up" woman behind the desk, she was shouting at us infront off other guests that were checking in.. very very rude!! I wont be back, either will my friends or family ***IF YOU ARE STAYING HERE, BRING A TABLE CLOTH.. GOD FORBID YOU SPILL WATER*** VERY VERY DISAPOINTED!!!! Management should have a stern chat to the women that was working on the 10th January 2020 on the morning shift! Never being treated like that before in a hotel... look at the cameras please!!!
Liked the location and the room was beautiful.
Music from downstairs went on until 2:00am on our last night.
