Felt so cozy , like a guest house of someone you were visiting. The room was beautifully decorated.
The little town, stores, restaurants etc. We purchased a seven foot rooster, a big lighthouse, signs, food and much more. The accommodations were as stated and very nice. We’re coming back to do Christmas shopping as their are unique items to purchase.
A mini refrigerator in each room would be perfect . The prices are a little high for overnight accommodations. You could go somewhere that has swimming/a pool in the summer months for that price. I love it here though, and I will come again but I am being honest answering your question. Finally, the other couple and my husband and I saw the carousel, it was beautiful, the gate was open, no one was there so we sat on the horses and a woman asked us if we would like her to take our picture. She stood over by the instrument which is to start it up, I am pretty sure. We only joked with this woman who took our pictures saying oh you’re going to take us for a ride now and she laughed and walked away. As we said that, A woman with short blond hair middle-aged, who is in charge of the rides I assumed on that day came over and in a very loud voice embarrassed us terribly. She told us we were acting like children coming in there through a locked gate ( Gate was open ) telling someone to take us for a ride. We would have never done that, as adults We were only sitting on the horses for two minutes; she had a very loud voice and just kept going. We told her that we didn’t see a sign saying two dollars and that no one was there and that the gate was open and that all we did was take pictures. She insisted the gate was closed, which it was not or we would not have opened it and walked in. We said that we caused no harm. She continued to say many things and it was very embarrassing and we left. I told her that its a wonder she has this job if she talks to everyone like this and we didn’t go back or ride the train as we did want to see the grounds. That put the four of us in a very negative mood for about two hours and it could have been handled differently.
I had 2 queen rooms... the 2nd room was street location. room was very large with beautiful front.
1st room entrance door was located behind a gate. Room was situated with a walkway to pool and entrance to other rooms located near pool. Sleep and rest was often interrupted due to slamming of the gate which rattled the windows to hearing other guests conversations as they headed to pool area
I luv stay in the barn room did great job making the rooms!
The time the shops opened think should be earlier.nedd to put more coffe sugar and creamer in room for early risers.
Greeted with complimentary tea and shortbread cookies. Breakfast was continental, served in a cute basket, warm blueberry muffins were yummy. We ate outdoors, lakeside on the beautifully landscaped grounds!
Lace curtains covering doors that lead to a small deck on view of a public area did not cover the glass panel door adequately.
