Pros: Ok, his English is weak. But he speaks German as does my wife. Very accommodating. Rooms were very clean. The bedroom was large for Europe with a real double bed. Bathroom was a little cramped but adequate. Quiet location yet near the centre. Breakfast was adequate and on par with room price. Street parking around the corner about 50m walk.
Cons: No parking/unloading in front of hotel.

Pros: Breakfast was adequate. I wouldn't put it higher than that. Two rolls, two flabby croissants, two slices of processed cheese, two slices of processed ham and a little plate with some butter, jam, more processed cheese - for the two of us. The coffee was provided in generous amounts, but was just so-so quality. The host was cheerful and helpful, the rooms were clean and the towels were large. In spite of being full, the hotel was not too noisy. However, on New Year's Day, someone in a nearby room was vomiting very loudly - not pleasant.
Cons: There was no bath mat in the tiny shower, so it was slippery and unsafe. The radiator was cranked up high, so we got a bit hot and dehydrated first night, then reduced the heat and had a better second night. The stairs - narrow Victorian era stairs, and lots of them to get to our room under the roof. No view - just roof tiles. The bedside table drawers couldn't be opened, because the tables were too large for the space and turned sideways, with drawers against the mattress. There was a wardrobe, but since there were no hangers (??!) we couldn't hang any of our clothes. The mattress was too soft, and there were only 3 pillows for the two of us, instead of 4.

Pros: We liked the style of the property - one of the first hotels in Figueira da Foz, restored and very well maintained. It is charming and, at the same time, has many facilities for guests. The staff is also great! Emilia, the host, is someone you can always count on: she is beyond kind and helpful and supported my family whenever we needed, always with a smile and patience. The breakfast: great!

Walking distance to Claridade beach and the city parks. Very family friendly. Delicious breakfast with pão-de-ló and fresh fruits. Very good restaurants close by.

Pros: Wonderful location, great view from the window(s), helpful and kind staff who solve problems quickly and efficiently, comfortable and very clean room, excellent water pressure even on the top floor. Thank you!
Cons: I really liked the breakfast, it was tasty and nourishing. However, somebody more picky might find it lacking in options. Also, a minor inconvenience was that most of the staff did not speak English and I did not speak any of the languages they did (French and Spanish).

Pros: - the location of the hotel - the shutter on the window to make it dark inside - the quietness - nice and helpful stuff even with limited english
Cons: - very very small room - old furniture - very small bath room - small bed for 2 - the breakfast was disappointing - only bread roll and croissant with one selection of cheese and some ham, bit jam and the coffee was not the greatest one - instead of a nice duvet we had a old scratchy blanket covert in a bedsheet - wouldn't book it again

He told me that the hotel has some rooms with possibility of temperature regulation, but these rooms were already occupied. According to him, the temperature of my and other rooms was set at 25ºC. It was very difficult to get a car park.

Pros: When I booked this room I did not realize it was as big as it was. There was a sort of living room with a couch, table and chairs and a TV. Next to this was a bedroom with a large bed, a desk and a second TV. Inside the bedroom is a shower with a toilet and across the large hall is a large bathroom with a tub. All in all very big for one person, more a family room. There is a large restaurant and a well equipped gym on the upper levels The breakfast buffet was very good with good choices and a pancake machine There is a large parking under the hotel which I could use for free, thank you

Pros: Boutique feel. With an incredible view of the widest beach in Europe. Awesome sunsets! Great beds with plush bedding. Very clean bathroom. Staff was very attentive . Convenient location, not far from the train/bus station and wonderful to just walk around and get to know Figueira da Foz.
Cons: It could use a bit of an update, carpet is starting to wear and furniture looks a bit worn. A gasket on our window was broken and it rattled loudly in the wind all night long. Also, we paid for the circuit in the spa downstairs, which was great, although I could smell mold, and while waiting for me to finish changing, one of the ladies in the spa was peppering my husband with questions about the American president. Telling him how great he is and how much she likes him. Not exactly the relaxing finish we were hoping for.

Pros: The staff was amazing! The lady at the reception made me feel welcome, the lady at the breakfast knew my room number after 2 days although they had many guests and she quickly and quietly organized everything, e. g. put tables together for groups, the cook prepared dinner for me before the official time and even asked whether the ba nana met my taste before he prepared it, the cleaning ladys were very friendly and even put my bathing shoes so the could dry better and let me check out a little later - wow!
