The team, especially Driss and Fatima were charming and helpful. The roof terraces are a special feature
Breakfast could be more diverse, with omelet, for example.
Large spacious room. Aesthetic decor. Excellent location although tricky to find but that’s just the case of the Médina, you will likely be lost for a few days no matter where you’re going. Decent breakfast. Friendly staff.
Pillows are rock solid, so are the towels - although clean. Suite 3 was loud, there are no windows, only shutters and so you can hear EVERYTHING outside as if the noise is in the room - if you’re a light sleeper like me, than this will be an issue. No door on the bathroom as this is just the design.
We stayed at Maison Maure for two nights and were very warmly welcomed by Driss, the manager of the location. It is an absolutely beautiful place and we had a very tastefully decorated and big room. As the restaurant there was fully booked the first night, we were guided to a nearby moroccan restaurant in a stunning location with very good food. The breakfast offered a great selection of things like home-made yoghurt, pancakes or omelette. Also the food at the restaurant was delicious and nicely presented. On top of that, also the service was great. Like Christian, the owner and Driss, the manager of the hotel, all the people working at Maison Maure were very friendly and helpful. So everything was just wonderful and we can definitely recommend to stay there. Perfect Moroccan hospitality with 5 stars!
Nice design of the place Quite central Breakfast is quite nice, good marmalades
Well we had the suite on the last floor with a balcony (not private for that matter) - however there was a door to access that balcony which they lock during the night. This is actually quite dangerous because the emergency path gets blocked this way, as that lock is pretty hard to open (even if you’re not in a hassle) The last night we spend there, the chef asked us in the morning at what time we wanted breakfast, we said 7.30 and he shows up at 8.15, when we had to leave for our flight. Also the fact that there is not always someone present in the Riad is quite annoying if something in your planning isn’t working out Restaurant - don’t bother, looks good on pictures. Totally overpriced for the quality of food, much better options for that price (290dh for a menu) in Marocco!
