We stayed in a cabin, and it was a great decision, with a good kitchen and living area.
The country location was a real plus for both views and walking whilst access directly off the A30 avoided the need to go through Exeter. The hotel was warm, clean and comfortable and the quality of the food was high.
Despite being advertised on the web as dog friendly, dogs are no longer allowed, however, an exception was made on this occasion. There was inconsistency of staff attitude and instruction over hotel facilities. The restaurant portions varied greatly day to day to the extent that on two days we had so much that we could hardly eat it all but on our final evening, whilst there was a large party being held elsewhere in the hotel, we had to ask for the quantity to be updated just to meet the specification on the menu.
As always great staff, great golf, great food - great time!

My husband and I stayed for just two nights at the Fingle Glen and were delighted by the standards and the very pleasant staff.
We had no negative comments to make we enjoyed very much our time at Fingle Glen.
the high quality and comfort of the hotel rooms . The location . We stayed for a wedding and the wedding food was delicious.
The length of time it took for breakfast to be served . We came in at 9.15 and finally left at 10.50 . Considering we have to vacate the rooms by 11.00 am , this was cutting it fine . Most of this time was taken in us waiting for our breakfast .
the spacious suite and the bathroom
it was not as clean as it could have been confetti was stuck in the sofa bed
Reception was not really bothered about residence more about golfers
Very relaxing atmosphere
The staff were friendly
The place looked like a currugated tin shed, and was more of a golf club than a hotel. The restaurant was more akin to a cafe, and the whole bar and restaurant area was poorly furnished and noisy.
lodges were impaculate + weather was great
