Location ,facilities size of the room all good.
A musty smell on entrance into the room, likely the carpet. Lampshade to standard lamp was heavily stained. Corridor with double fire doors enroute to the spa had damp soiled towels along the floor catching dampness and rain coming in. Noted on day of arrival and still there the next morning. This was most unattractive walking by. Use of spa facilities was until 11am checkout yet a very noisy aerobic session started up in the pool at approx 9.45 with around 20 or more participants. The pool was then no longer usable for swimming nor relaxing peacefully .
We were married on 2nd August this year but due to our little girl only being 3 months old, we didn’t feel ready to go abroad on a honeymoon, so instead decided to treat ourselves to an overnight stay in a Junior suite at Ramside on 7th-8th August. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious, and had a lovely complimentary fruit platter from Tim, the hotel manager. Our room overlooked the grounds and we had a beautiful seating area outside. The spa was relaxing and we paid extra for the spa passes. This was the third time we have stayed at Ramside Hall and we have enjoyed it each time. We would love to come back again soon.
My bed was soaking wet when I went to get in it at midnight! I have contacted the manager and had no reply! Spa - couldn’t get a lounger as they were all reserved with towels but no one actually sitting on them.. Chair in room very dusty
Setting, design and atmosphere.
A bit grubby in places
The spa facilities were lovely! The hotel part which we stayed in looked a little dated, would of been lovely if the moderness was all the hotel not just parts
The bathroom could of done with a little extra cleaning. And the rib house although food was nice we waited an hour for a burger and a steak. Someone had gone through a water pipe whilst we were there near the clubhouse. For some un known reason they stopped serving food, I have no idea why water would have anything to do with food? Because in the main hotel the water was off and they were still serving food
