One charming dark haired lady on the desk, who did her best to help. 15minutes walk to the centre.
Nobody helped with our luggage.only one pillow for two people..,one small towel..,no tea or coffee maker, or towellingv robe. Our room, 825, though large, was on the very noisy Kaiser Strasse.insufficient double glazing, even up on the 8th floor.the tram run just below on noisy rails. The curtains did not shut out the light. Breakfast was very limited. I know it is a Covid adjustment time, but this is supposed to be a good hotel, and it is not up to scratch.
It feels like the hotel opened without any regards to guests and instead of thinking and being of service they blame Covid : no daily cleaning , no change of towels, no facilities open, no toiletries, no gym - it’s all allowed by local regulations but the hotel must take appropriate measures and instead of finding solutions how to clean they removed all services and all items from the room, even no simple plastic cup or shower cap, no dry cleaning... and no slightest effort to find solutions, but price is the same as before ... for what??? And then the receptionist mislead me trying to assure that they are allowed to write down credit card details on paper and keep those forms in the open when I know it’s forbidden and then can only collect credit card info via secure machine authorization... Shame on Melia for just being sloppy and blaming Covid. This is how companies will differentiate from now on: some will learn and figure things out , it’s not like there will be many guests, so each guest should be valued, and others will just get sloppy and lose their chance to recover.
great location, calm and relaxing atmosphere
uncomfortable pillows, big but too soft
The staff are excellent - very friendly, professional and helpful.
Only slight complaint was that it would have been nice to have more coffee in the room. The second day we didn't have any cups but were supplied with them when we asked.
Location was great, 5 minutes walk from Center
