6.0 Good
Pros: Very clean. Convenient. Very good breakfast. Good bed.
Cons: Given bare minimum of instructions and barely any welcome. Despite only one other party staying at hotel we were placed in the much less attractive side building. Stark staircase, poorly lit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This house is so beautiful and in heart of Dijon. You can walk everywhere. Our host Marie-Ellen looked after us so well. We loved it and highly recommend it!
Cons: Maybe a small fridge in room might be nice to keep wine or food from market. Not a big deal but might be something to add?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a little gem. You enter a courtyard through a gate. The hotel is externally built in the old French style, like a manor house, and inside it has been renovated. Very tasteful and furnished with antiques. We were warmly welcomed and we could communicate in English. There is also an indoor pool where you can refresh yourself. Very clean rooms. The breakfast was delicious. There were croissants, bread, fruit and you could order eggs. We had the feeling to be a guest of a French family. The location was perfect, you can walk to the center in 10 minutes. In 2 minutes you come to a small square with many restaurants, where you could have a great dinner.

6.3 Good
Pros: very good location.
Cons: Very hard bed. Very noisy all night long. Inattentive staff.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The Hotels location was perfect. No need for the car as all was well within walking distance. The room was very comfortable if a little unorganised
Cons: Its the little things that go a long way to making any stay better. 1/ Simply replacing the Teabags would be nice 2/ Simply replacing the Shower gel would be nice 3/ Breakfast, please think long and hard about paying the 12 euros for breakfast. It is not what you would expect. !st morning, just a few slithers of cheese, pain au chocolate and a croissant each. No yogurt, cereal or juice. Next breakfast, was a bit better in that I got offered juice after I had finished my croissant. Have a wander, there is a small brasserie by the carousel that offers scrambled eggs and toast for 8 euros. But of course, the easiest thin to do is buy it fresh and eat it in your room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is situated behind a restaurant in a beautiful square. The room was immaculate and of unusual design. The bathroom and shower are fantastic.

Relax in the luxurious Spa by La C loche nestled under old stone vaulted ceilings and featuring Carita products and Vinésime cosmetics straight from Burgundy. The hotel was renovated in 2016 and is now one of Burgundy's most majestic locations.
6.0 Good
Pros: The facade of the hotel is beautiful and the location is excellent. The spa is very pleasant.
Cons: The interior decoration does not match the grandeur of the building, it felt somehow cheap. The corridor ceiling is so low it feels claustrophobic, and the carpet has a design that makes it look dirty. Cleanliness should be improved, there was a vacuum cleaner almost permanently in the corridor and a room-service tray spent the entire night in the corridor. The bathroom although big, it is not comfortable. The spa has limited space and needs to be booked but i only learnt about it on check-in, and almost didn’t get to enjoy it. Overall, it does not feel like a 5 star hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located within walking distance from Dijon's attractions. The have valet parking, which is hassle free for the guests, a very nice restaurant as well as live music club.
Cons: The room was very, very small, had a corner one, without any view.

Pros: Central Location, close to everything. You can walk everywhere. Classic old Elevator, loved that. Cool small bar, we paid more for a bigger room, possibly a corner room, super huge room, nice Hotel. Staff was amazing. Would definitely stay here again, without question.
Cons: I had a hard time getting the tub plug open. Twist, push, nope. My wife realized you just simply had to remove it, thankfully. Now you Know.

Les Sarguenotes - Dijon
12
8.6 Excellent (131 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Chambœuf, Les Sarguenotes is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Chapelle-Chambertin and Mountain Farm Equestrian Center. Featured amenities include microwave in a common area and refrigerator in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.1 Good
Pros: Good continental breakfast with attentive hosts. Our bedroom was clean and tidy, the double bed was comfortable. The view was great, the setting was very nice, the pool area was pleasant (except for the chemical imbalance).
Cons: We booked here because of the warm weather and it had a nice looking swimmimg pool, and was near Gevrey Chambertin. However when we arrived we were told there was a problem with the pool, it was green. So we could not use it. The owner was shock treating the pool after we arrived. Also, the WiFi did not work in the bedroom. I was told it worked in the breakfast room upstairs, which was correct. There was a WiFi range extender with strong signal in the bedroom, but it did not give internet connection.
5.8 Okay
Cons: I ve played everything throw booking and at my departure the owner told me to pay taxes because they won t received it throw booking

5.4 Okay
Pros: Friendliness Location Good.coffee in the morninig
Cons: Rooms very dated Everything in need of restauration No airco/ no wifi No possibility to buy something to drink Swimming pool not clean
7.1 Good
Pros: The outdoor space immediately outside the room was lovely, if but the view was scuppered by the trees. The car parking was okay, and well off the road. There was an unexpected communal kitchen area complete with fridge, hob and sink as well as crockery and cutlery. All the guests of the evening ended up in the kitchen at the same time, which was slightly unfortunate but it was nice to be able to cook something as opposed to go out. It was lovely cooking some pasta and sitting out on the terrace, although it was a little cool even in mid august, but there were blankets in the room which we were able to wrap around us when the sun went down.
Cons: The decor of the rooms was very dated and in need of refurbishment. Glad we had google translate as there was no English speaking hosts, although perhaps we should speak better french when in France, although, when we did ask questions in french, there was no offer of a map or anything of such. Payment was in CASH only, which meant we had to find a cash machine, so a good drive out from the B&B, and we had to ask for a receipt to provide a means of confirmation that we had actually paid.

Pros: On site secure car parking
Cons: The bar staff weren’t very friendly
4.0 Okay
Pros: The bed and breakfast
Cons: I paid and booked for air conditioning. Air conditioning was turned off so unfortunately had no sleep! Very noisy if windows open as next to main busy roundabout. I made staff aware and feel they should have given a 50% discount as had no sleep as the room was boiling hot.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing not to like , it was lovely!
5.8 Okay

Cons: Unfriendly staff
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Free parking.
Cons: Noisy rooms. The breakfast was below average. Towels and sheets not clean. Located next to trafficked road.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very good quality room, comfortable bed, staff extremely helpful. Parking great.
Cons: Limited bar snacks. Dined in restaurant first night, was excellent, but too rich to have two nights running. We wanted something simple on second night, but distance from centre without decent restaurants nearby gave us very limited choice for a meal.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location very good, easy to get to on outskirts of a busy city with bonus free underground parking on site. Staff very helpful, on a tram stop so very easy to do the Dijon walking tour. Rooms and all areas very modern and crisp, lots of lifts.
Cons: It is a chain hotel and used by lots of business people, therefore all drinks etc are pricey by french standards, we asked for a bottle of champagne in the room for a friend’s birthday, it was 90 euros but with a few free nibbles. Breakfast at 19.50 euros meant we ate out while doing the walking tour!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room, great service, superb dinner.
Cons: Nothing

Cons: breakfast was very basic and not worth the price
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in a great city centre location for walking out into the old parts of the city with smart shops and great restaurants.
Cons: I guess due to the age and nature of the property there is not much natural light in the hotel. The breakfast room, for example, did not have any windows.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, parking and room with balcony were my reasons for choosing this hotel. And we were pleased with all the above. The lobby and lounge area were clean and inviting. The staff was very friendly and were very eager to get to make sure my room was ready. They also have a computer with easy check-in and check-out. Bar restaurant area was nice. I chose the Family room with extra room with sleeper sofa and balcony. It also had very large closet/ dresser(which I used and enjoyed) and mini fridge and coffee maker and AC. Bathroom was cool and clean with very nice shower. The one thing I liked most was they have record player(also played bluetooth) with records that we actually listen too. And most importantly the balcony which was surprisingly large (others were much smaller) probably because we had a corner room. Even though i don't smoke cigarettes I enjoyed the views and balcony even though it was rainy. I used the desk and chair and it was nice having two rooms for our luggage. Our room was very spacious and very comfortable except for the bed. It was also pretty quit too. We were very pleased with this room and hotel. FYI it's only a 3-5 minute walk to huge indoor food mall and center and the famous cubed houses. We most definitely will visit Rotterdam again and probably stay at this hotel again.
Cons: The bed was two twins pushed together (which is typical in Europe) but they put some foam bed topper(at least use a good one) to make it look like a king, which fine except is was very hard still and extremely uncomfortable. Beds should be the most important and comfortable thing in any room in any hotel first and foremost. The elevators are a bit small but again that's typical in Europe(not really a dislike) but giving more info. Would've liked more days in Rotterdam.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a very professional establishment within a perfect location in Dijon for visiting
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, friendly staff, large room and bathrom
7.3 Good
Pros: Excellent location and accommodating staff.
Cons: The only things I didn't like were that the room did not have a comfortable chair to read in, and the bathroom wasn't supplied with soap. I like to sit up while I am reading, and not at a desk chair. And I don't like to wash with shower gel.
7.7 Good
Cons: nothing to mention
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff were welcoming, the room was clean and very comfortable. The bathrooom was modern and very well equiped.
7.3 Good
Pros: Please write at leastThe decor is very attractive and the staff super helpful by driving us to the train station during a strike.
7.3 Good
Pros: Great location. Amazing restaurant. Helpful staff. Quiet room
Cons: Outlook from window
6.8 Good
Pros: Excellent dining
Cons:
5.2 Okay
Pros: Good situation in the center of Dijon
Cons: Hotel sart renovation, restorant was closed
5.6 Okay
Pros: The helpfulness of the staff. The central location.
Cons: The first and more expensive suite we had was dark, no views very noisy if you opened the window due the air conditioner units operating. There were faults with curtains not well hung and not closing and the bathroom fittings were not all working. We did request a change of room and this was quickly done and the second and cheaper room was very good.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent restaurant.
Cons:
3.2 Mediocre
Pros: The location-it's in the center
Cons: I didn't ike, that I had to wait for the morning coffee for 10 minutes and the breakfast selection was poor. The room was a bit worn and it was difficult with a child to get upstairs as the elevator didn't go to the floor the room was located on. And also some of the reception ladies had a bit arrogant attitude.

5.7 Okay
Pros: Great location right in the heart of town. Small but nice rooms with big windows and views.
Cons: First room was not clean and had drapes ripped off the wall. Was quickly given a second room but card key system for electricity wasn't explained so I didn't have power the first night. Great potential for this place but not very user friendly.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location in the center of Dijon
Cons: Room too small
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Diamond in the rough, it was everything we needed and for a great price.
Cons: Having USB plugs installed in the room for everyone to charge phones and devices would be nice. Even my shaver is usb so it would be nice to have
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay in a great part of the city. Clean, secure and aircon with excellent breakfasts
7.0 Good
Pros: the city
Cons: confort moyen
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Free snacks and drinks in afternoon a nice touch. if coming by car, you can drive right up to front door to unload. then proceed to public garage Dauphine very nearby. market hall (if open), restaurants, cafes, churches, historic plazas all located within minimal walking distance.
Cons: shower requires a very high step up to enter. stool would be helpful and provide safety.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location was great! Staff at front desk were nice.
Cons: Closing from 1 to 3 everyday makes it hard for guest that arrive. Had to wait for check in. Not a great first impression. Need to update your operating hours, people traveling are not interested in City Loft closing 2 times a day for staff to have breaks. This needs to change if you want to continue to have repeat customers. This is a old practice in Europe and many places have gone away from this way of running a business. Last but not least need to have a check that every room should be serviced every day. The bath towels are to thin! You can’t expect someone to use that quality for 2 days. If you take shower in morning towel is not even dry for you to take a second shower for dinner or to go to bed. Team at desk were very helpful in adjusting stay and providing assistance. Need better lighting when walking into City Loft!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location of the City Loft Apparthotel is great. Just around the corner from a major walking street in the centre of Dijon. We were able to park our car in a nearby lot and then walk everywhere. Ideal. The little apartment had all the basics. One thing it didn't have was a coffee maker, but we were able to get one from the front desk. The staff at the desk were great. Very helpful. We would definitely recommend the City Loft Apparthotel to others.
Cons: The main thing we disliked was the toilet. It appears to operate on a suction system much like that in an airplane. However, it wasn't as efficient as that in an airplane so often took a couple of flushes. We heard lots of other suctions sounds so it seemed others were having the same problem. Still, it was a pretty small thing considering the overall positives of the property.
6.7 Good
Pros: The beds were good and the staff extremly helpfull.
Cons: The room has been renovated but the bathroom seemed to have had a water damage. The drain made a lot of sound and smelled.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was superb. It is centrally located in a wonderful walking area. The room was large and comfortable with a small kitchenette.
Cons: The hallways were warn and dirty. The hotel says that it has parking, but there are only three spaces. Everyone else needs to go to a public parking garage.

7.0 Good
Pros: The location is great, very close to the center, the old monastery is charming, and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast buffet is not extraordinary but it is fair.
Cons: The rooms are small and the hotel is understaffed, I ended up wating 25 minutes to check out. This is not acceptable in a 4 star hotel. Overall, it seems too expensive for the service you were getting.
5.4 Okay
Cons: Smelly, damp room, because shower drain was clogged and water was running into rest of bathroom. Ventilation in bathroom did not work, humidity spread into the room. Not possible to open window during day (room on ground floor) or night (terrible (!!) noise from a facility-room right next to our window from 23pm to 6am, which was even too loud when window closed). Asked for other room after first night, which was affirmed by staff, but was not actively pursued. We participated in a conference and were at the hotel only for the nights. We expected the staff to contact us in the evening for a move, but this did not happen, resulting in four rather bad nights. A pity for this historical, essentially very beautiful place.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Shower
5.0 Okay
Pros: The historic building and the location were both superb. The staff was helpful and the breakfast generous.
Cons: The bed was unexpectedly placed in a loft, up a VERY narrow and long set of stairs. So it was impossible to get the luggage up to the bedroom. Moreover, the loft space was so tiny, it was impossible for my husband to get around the bed without scraping his leg on the bed. Bad for short stays.
6.7 Good
Pros: We enjoyed the the historic value and location of the property. Good room size, quiet location. Tuesday morning reception was very friendly and helpful. The house keeping staff were friendly
Cons: The breakfast was not of a good standard. The scrambled eggs were rubbery and the bacon was tough. The fruit salad was not fresh and needed more variety than apple. The weekend reception and night staff acted like they did want to be there. We were not treated as guests we were treated as a nuisance. Smiles were totally absent. The night porter was happy to let my husband manage a large suitcase and his walking stick down the steps the rooms.
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was great including fresh squeezed orange juice and fresh croissants. The location so close to the old city was perfect.
Cons: The room was noisy. We could hear people walking in the creaky hallway. The bed is up some steep, narrow stairs in a loft space. The bed was and pillows weren’t comfortable.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here in March and had a wonderful time at this really unique facility. We had 7 adults in 2 rooms, with a nice amount of space for everyone. They had really great setups with kitchenettes in rooms. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. We even enjoyed the Turkish bath and spa facilities. The location was convenient, just off the shopping district, within walking distance from everything in Dijon we wanted to see. We really wished we had had more time, but what was experienced left us wanted to come back.
Cons: No complaints.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful surrounding.
Cons: Only parking in the street
7.9 Good
Pros: Very quiet and full of character.
Cons: The bed was on a different level up steep steps.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location in a historic building & for visiting old city and excellent nearby museums ( all free admission). Reasonable safe covered parking nearby.
Cons: Nespresso machine would be nice in rooms.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: We liked the location of the hotel. Everything is within walking distance.
Cons: The hallways of the hotel need some renovation. Especially the 5th floor.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location was ideal
Cons: We arrived in the evening and we could not find the garage for parking as there were not sufficient indications even the chap at reception did not know where it was! A tourist then told us it was literally in front of the hotel and she explained exactly how to get there.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Comfortable room.
Cons: No kettle or tea/coffee making machine in the room. Had to go to the main lobby to get hot water.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is outstanding. Easy walk to so many interesting sites and plenty of restaurant options. Plus close to the train station.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Quiet but central, location. Generally comfortable, cool, room with normal type bathroom fittings despite being very newly furnished. Good quality sheets and towels. Excellent breakfast for €10.
Cons: The fire escape stairs were obstructed by a surplus bed !
7.1 Good
Pros: Location was very central. The bed was comfortable.
Cons: The room was a box with hard edges and no comfort. One bottle of water provided on day one, why not daily. No refrigerator or tea/coffee making facilities in the room. You could make tea or coffee in reception.
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel has some great features; the location is in the center of Dijon so it is close to walk to everything. The breakfast was delicious and had many options including eggs, meats, cheeses, etc. There is a dinner restaurant and a bar which is nice. The rooms are clean, comfortable and a good size for a multi day stay. The bathrooms are nice and the showers are full size. The rooms have windows which is a nice feature. The room was quiet and the A/C worked well.
Cons: The only thing about the room which was disappointing were the beds. They are more like cots, and are very uncomfortable and hard. They are very light so they slide around on the tile floor. We tried to push them together but this was a continual challenge. They don't include a sheet, they just put a heavy comforter on the bed which was way too hot for the warm weather.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very central location. Fabulous breakfast choice
Cons: Bathroom was a little bit tired
