Hotel building has charming architecture with old decorations and beautiful courtyard. Staff is very friendly and helpful, make you feel like you are their family member! Breakfast food was tasty, just wish we had more bread choices like in other hotels we stayed in.
Our room was on the ground floor and window didn’t open at al.
This property is an old monastery converted into a hotel. It has a charming court yard with tables you can sit at. There is also lots of old wooden doors and a tile roof. The breakfast is served in the cafe off the courtyard.
As with almost any location in Peru outside of Lima, the hot water can be spotty. It is usually best to shower late at night. Also, it is chilly at night in Cusco and while the room was supplied with a space heater, it was cool at night.
The staff was attentive and most helpful. We enjoyed the location and the history of the building and property.
Excellent location, beautiful building with old world atmosphere and beautiful decoration. Reception staff very helpful and friendly - Without our requesting it, they immediately shifted us to a ground floor room when I injured my ankle. Cold and hot water and tea/coffee available at all times in courtyard, good breakfast. Good pressure of hot water in shower.
All 3 rooms our group had had only wooden windows looking onto ether a staircase or passage, so no natural light in the rooms, so they are rather gloomy - though other rooms looking into the courtyards had glass windows. Warm blankets and covers were very heavy and uncomfortable - they should provide light duvets. Seating in the courtyards not very comfortable or inviting, and there were hardly any guests, so the atmosphere was not lively or inviting. More comfortable, softer seating might help.
Nice clean hotel with cozy beds in great location! The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful! Breakfast on the roof was lovely. But the best part were the two tortoises that live in the courtyard! Definitely recommend Las Torres de Ugarte!
