Coolangatta Ute Rentals

What I did not realise when I booked this is Eastcoast Car Rentals does not have an office at the Gold Coast Airport. After a phone call they picked us up but the problem was our drop off which was out of hours (06.00am) so no one at the office to drop us back to the air.port so cost $28 for a taxi. Had I known they had no office at the airport and for convenience I would have used a rental company that has a airport office. Hope this helps saves someone the drama of having to organise a taxi out of hours to get them to the airport. Thanks.

Disclosure of the insurance cost when you book online initially. So you are more prepared at pick up. Otherwise the staff were lovely and the process was smooth.

AWESOME customer service, quick and easy and ready to go. When I had arrrived at Goldcoast Airport after a flight i just wanted to get the car and drive to my hotel. Hiring a car was hassle free and at a great price. The car was a recent model with GPS which was helpful when I had to navigate to my tourist attractions. Clean and tidy car. Loved the experience and will hire from them in the future - VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER 😀

Friendly customer service. Fast and prompt attention. New car and clean interior. Top notch rental. Been using Europcar rental previously in Dubai & Sydney and now in Goldcoast and services were excellent but prices for Goldcoast are way more expensive than Dubai or Sydney.

Well I was waiting in the queue for more than 1.5 hour. I picked up the car key around 11:45. I asked if I can drop my car back around 1 pm. The answer was you have to pay one extra day due to pick up time is 10am you need to return your car at 10. Well first of all I haven’t picked up the car at that time. Second the approach was not polite at all.

Inflexible, charged me more than quoted, rude service and more. Very poor experience and impacted whole holiday :(

Service should be faster

I was overcharged on fees and for 8 weeks no one will respond to my email query. VERY BAD customer service I will tell others not to use HERTZ as no responsibility on incorrect billing. VERY disappointed and bad form

I canceled the car And you still keep sending me emails Extremely poor look on your behalf I would never rent or do anything with you ever again Kayak!!!!!!!!! Disgraceful

No deposit needed. Everything was ready to go on arrival.

Was given a large car that fits 8 people even though there was only myself driving. I reserved a smaller car only to be told there was no small cars. I didn't get a discount at all and was given a car that was larger and required diesel petrol which is more expensive to run. I doubt this complaint will be addressed but wary now to book with thrifty again after false advertising
