10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very spacious and clean with a great view of the castle. The staff could not have been more helpful - from parking the car to bringing us a bucket of ice after they had gone home for the evening. The hotel is a short walk from the town. There are so many awesome photo opportunities. Absolutely love the hotel and the town!

Pros: Beautiful old hotel within short distance of the inner city
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful establishment in a great location. When we arrived the person who welcomed us was extremely helpful and showed us where we could park close by and pay at the hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and have everything you need. Breakfast was great with a wide selection of high quality items. Would certainly recommend to stay here when visiting Cochem.
Cons: Nothing, even the train track that some previous guests mentioned was not an issue at all. Slept the whole night with the window open, in a room at the back of the building and both of us did not wake up because of train noise.

Pros: Very friendly, good location perfect place for us

Cons: The walk up the hill is a bit steep, but made for a great workout :-)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful apartment, spacious, everything absolutely clean. Beds comfortable. Great view to Cochem and Cochem castle. We were allowed to use many chairs on the terrace and table on the terrace, where we could eat our food and enjoy wonderful view. Host family very friendly and always ready to help. We could store our bikes safely in the garage of the owners. Apartment is about 2km from center of Cochem, when you walk to the apartment- the last part is up the hill. But we knew that a that is "the price" you pay for o wonderful view.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great!
Cons: Nothing
5.0 Okay
Pros: The price, the free parking in the hotel and the location. Although it is not in the center it is just a 15 minutes walking near the river and with lovely views. It also has a supermarket very near by foot.
Cons: We had no one to receive us at check-in. The room was in the back of the house, without a balcony, very small and not confortable. The entrance to the room was directly from the street and since it was raining a lot we had to enter our luggage all wet directly into the room. The bed was very small and since we are tall we had our feet outside the bed. At night it was cold and the heating was not working. Also when having a bath the floor was easily with a lot of water.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely apartment. Great view from balcony. Very clean. Quiet area. Easy walk into town along the river. Supermarket close by. Free Parking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is good, it’s not in the main part of Cochem, so it’s calm and quite nearby. But you can reach all bars and restaurants in 15 mins walk, for us it was even better. It has great view on caste from your balcony. Shop is nearby, probably it was penny, but I forgot what it really was. Anyway it was 2mins close. They have free private parking right in front of the building. The checkin and checkout were extremely easy, they’ve sent us codes in advance, we found our keys inside the house. Very comfy! Room was clean, bed very comfortable, but pillows bit too soft for me:( anyway it was ok. There was a welcome tea and coffee, also water and fruits! I recommend this place, it’s amazing! Thank you Haus von Hoegen, We’ll definitely come back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We spent at Haus von Hogem in Cochem two nights in August 2019 on the way from Poland to Spain. The hotel was is clean and neat. The hotel provided a free wifi and free parking places. We had a stunning view on the Cochem Castle from the balcony of our room. We could prepare our meals in the kitchenette. The hotel was located in a quiet small street only 5 min by walk from the city centre. We spent here two nice days in the beautiful Moselle Valley. We visited the large medieval Eltz Castle located about 30 km from Cochem. We recommend the hotel for a few day stay here in Summer.
7.9 Good
Pros: Everything. Would definitely go again
Cons: A bit hot at night but excellent. Parking for motorcycle a bit limited.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast not included. Exceptionally clean - room, bathroom, towels. Cotton sheets - more comfortable in warm weather than polycotton.. Friendly hostess,
Cons: Continental pillows not our taste but pretty much standard in Europe,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice apartment in a quiet and good location. Kettle, tea, coffee and a complimentary fruit on arrival.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and clean room. We stayed at the room behind the main entrance, next to the parking spot.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I accidentally booked the room for the wrong date (off by 1 day) and when we showed up the lady in charge was kind enough to accommodate us anyway. Beautiful, cozy hotel with balcony views of the castle. Easy 10-20 min stroll along the river to the town center. Recommend eating at Pizzeria Castello.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptionally clean. The design of the space was well-thought. The amenities were great and brilliant attention to detail. Window view of the castle was mesmerising.
Cons: Everything was great.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Great value for the money, amazing location and excellent room.
7.7 Good
Pros: Location is great, staff is very friendly and the rooms are quite comfortable.
7.7 Good
Pros: The room was tidy and clean; a great value for the price. It is a few blocks from the main tourist area (in a residential neighborhood) which made it a bit quieter and a very pleasant experience.
6.0 Good
Pros: The apt was lovely and modern. Fortunately, we found a supermarket and a bus stop nearby so that we could go into town. Otherwise, without a car, we would have had a real problem. It seems that this place is intended for German vacationers with a car.
Cons: When we first got there, there was no way of knowing how to get in. Only by luck did a neighbor show up and tell us about the key and the note under the mat. Otherwise, we would never have gotten in. Good thing he happened to be home and we were persistently calling out.!
5.3 Okay
Pros: Hotel is a very good value for money. Comfortable large rooms. Beds are excellent and comfy. Some rooms have a fantastic view to the castle (top floor).
Cons: The bathroom needs remodling. There are no onsite hotel personnel, although this turned out not to be any problem for us. We exhausted the town in 2 hours.
5.2 Okay
Pros: Very clean and nice apartment.
Cons: A litle bit far from city center
7.3 Good
Pros: Haus Von Hoegen is situated very close to Cochem (about 1 km). The appartment had a kitchenette (small pots and pans though) which is a grand thing for people having a tight budget for the holidays. It was nice & calm in the evening. Very good situated nearby the Mosell (with a lovely view on the Reichsburg) and can function very well as a "home base" for hiking in the wine hills, visiting castles such as Burg Elz, and to explore Cochem and the small medieval villages nearby (Belstein is a must!). Best go by car, we've found the train station and it is about a 2 km walk to go to the appartment.
Cons:
7.0 Good
Pros: Our penthouse room had a beautiful view of the castle. We also had a small kitchen area that was an added bonus.
Cons:
5.6 Okay
Pros: It was reasonably priced with good access to the central Mosel valley. It was an easy walk to Cochem. The room was a decent size and clean.
Cons: There was no staff on site and it took over an hour to contact someone by phone to let us in.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: very convenient and accessible to Cochem and surrounding areas. very neat and clean
Cons:
6.0 Good
Pros: The house was nice looking and there were kitchen equipment available for cooking.
Cons: The hotel is a bit far from the train station in Cochem.

Flair Hotel am Rosenhügel - Cochem - Building

9.1 Excellent (596 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Flair Hotel Am Rosenhügel in Cochem, you'll be within a 10-minute walk of Cochem Historic Mustard Mill and Hieronimi Winery. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel has one of the best views of Cochem and the castle. The rooms have been updated, so very new and comfortable. Most rooms have a balcony so you can enjoy the view even more. The hotel is run by a very nice family, friendly and helpful. No mini bar in room but in the lowest level one will find a refrigerator with snacks and drinks. There is plenty of hiking trails outside the hotel, one path behind the hotel was a path Roman soldiers followed when entering the Cochem area.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was one of the best I ever had in a hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolute gem in Cochem! Amazing view over the castle and perfect conditions, clean, cosy, wecoming. Smiling personnel and especially the lady at the Reception. The breakfast is also excellent! Local specialities as well as a big choice of chees, fruits, breads etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a very good hotel. Everything works easily from the shower to the door key cards. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is amazing with a large hot thermos flask of good coffee giving at least three big cups which are warmed ready to pour into. The evening meals are delicious and good value at 20 Euros for three courses. The waiter is professional and so pleasant. We couldn’t eat three courses and just had a main, but they bing a complimentary little starter. It’s all lovely. The view from every balcony down the valley and across to Cochem Castle is stunning. This is the view from the dining rooms too. You can eat outside or in and enjoy the view. There is a relaxing garden with a small pool which is great in the warm weather. There are bikes to hire and it’s straight onto the Mosel cycle path. It’s an easy walk across the old bridge and into Cochem centre. The hotel lift runs from the cool cellar where you can roll your case up the slope from the hotel car park and access each floor.
Cons: Nothing! It was all excellent.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed the intimate feel of the small family-run hotel. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The view of the castle from our room was spectacular! Enjoying a bottle of local wine (sold at the hotel) on the porch was a great way to end our evening. Highly recommend.
Cons: We stayed during a heat wave and there was no A/C. This wasn't too bad because there was a large window, but the tower fan did not work well. The fan would have made a big difference in helping to cool the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service, room, food and location,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed the dinners and the options provided The extras like e-bikes, boat trips and free visitor train and bus passes all provided by the Hotel The honesty bar and the breakfasts were fantastic
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located across the river from the town and directly faces the castle - our room had a small balcony so at night we had a moonlit view of the castle and the town. The breakfast room and the outside seating area also looked out over the castle/town. There is good parking. There's steps up to the hotel but its not an issue as there's a lift in the basement area. Trust bar downstairs which we used to get water late one night - bottles of wine seemed to be about 10 euro and we saw a lot of other guests who ate in the hotel at night and / or sat out with a bottle of wine rather than walk back into town. Very good breakfast and you can sit out on the veranda and gaze at the castle / town while you eat. There's a small "pool" and sunbathing area as well and a sauna in the basement.
Cons: Nothing for us - really like it and have been twice. For others - you're on the opposite bank to the town and so have to walk back into town - we like that but others might not. If driving to hotel you come through the town cross the bridge and turn right and then the hotel is the last building on the left side of the road - I only note that as if you don't spot it you'll have to find a place to turn when you realise you've gone too far.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is one of the best we have had. The staff were superb. The facilities from the gym to the 'honesty' fridge were excellent. Our stay there coincided with a very hot spell of weather in June, and we were extremely happy for that service. There was plenty of information for walkers and cyclists.
Cons: Our only minor complaint would be that if your stay was for several days, the choice on the evening menu could have been a little more. But we managed. :-)

Pros: Very convenient to city attractions. The host was very friendly and helpful!!
Cons: The WiFi doesn’t work on the 3rd floor. The host was very apologetic. She says it’s due to the mountains. She did everything she could to accommodate. She is very nice and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location staff and facilities were brilliant Would recommend to everyone
6.7 Good
Pros: Good location, quiet, clean.
Cons: Our room was spacious and functional but not attractive. I like a quiet breakfast but other guests and and Ms. Albers carried on loudly so I ate and split ASAP. Ms. Albers was a bit overbearing; I suppose she was trying to be friendly but it felt intrusive.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Homey! Warm. Breakfast is generous. It is home away from home. Everyone is very friendly and attentive.
Cons: Nothing in particular. The entrance is a bit tricky but the other entrance via garment shop is also accessible. The staff in the garment shop is really helpful. By the way, the garment shop has extra-large size garments (3XL onwards) too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and the room were really nice. Best breakfast I ever had! Lady of the house was also really friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place.
Cons: Pillows were a bit to big. Not really sleeping pillows.
7.5 Good
Pros: The comfort double room was spacious and breakfast was great (note: if you can't appreciate a German/European style breakfast you may want to look elsewhere as this is what is provided)
Cons: Internet signal was weak and the speed was very slow (this may have been the result of the week signal). The quadruple room was small (compared to the comfort room) but is just sufficient, we felt this was overpriced. No parking options provided, but this was stated in the description so no surprise.

Pros: Good coffee. Good location. Friendly staff. Homey atmosphere
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a great location - near to the station so if you do not have a car it is easy to get there. The staff were lovely and helpful. The value for money was exceptional as a solo traveller - the room I had would have been a bit small if I wasn't travelling alone however personally i do think it would be fine for 2 people, but do keep that in mind if you are someone or a couple that wants a lot of space, you may find it a tad small. Regardless, it was lovely and comfortable and comaprable hotels in cochem i believe were much more expensive. The breakfast was also delicious with a great range of options that were all fresh.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Fantastic facilities and rooms. Kind helpful staff and owners. Superb location.
Cons: Nothing to dislike

Cons: The back of the building where room 3 was situated was still under construction. The window of the room was seeing on a wall so this is a bit disappointing. You have to pay by cash. No possibility to pay by credit card.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: On the bank of Moselle river with an excellent view of Reichsburg and merely five minutes walk to Old Town, it’s a great place to stay. The room is spacious, clean and with a comfortable electric Boxspring Bed. It’s nicely decorated in traditional style. The breakfast arrangement are also worthy. Overall it’s a GREAT Value for Money for a weekend stay.
Cons: We stayed only one night

Pros: We just stayed one night but enjoyed it very much. The rooms are very recently renovated and very spacious. The breakfast was delicious and extensive. Our room had a view of the Mosel river and the castle. The parking is right next to the hotel. The beds were very comfortable.
Cons: It appears to be not really in Cochem itself but in Sehl. It is a good walk to get to the main area in Cochem where most of the restaurants are but we actually didn’t mind that.

Cons: not a lot .wanted a quiet place to relax after riding the great roads of the efil region great beer in bar .
9.6 Excellent
Pros: An exceptional family run guesthouse - perfect for a good night's sleep on a sightseeing tour. We were warmly greeted and showed to our room, which was absolutely spotless. There was a party in the downstairs restaurant, but the room was obviously soundproofed, as we couldn't really hear much - and at 10:30pm, everything went completely quiet. The breakfast was very satisfying, from the warm rolls to a fresh boiled egg and a nice meat/cheese selection. The owner was very friendly, yet unobtrusive and spoke excellent English. The location was in a quiet town, a bit off the beaten path, but an easy and scenic drive to the river and Burg Eltz. We would make an effort to stay here again when in the area.
Cons: We were happy with our experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Host was very good and made us feel very welcome. We arrived around 8pm and were given a good hot meal straight away. We were there for the Nürburgring 24 hour and the track was 30 mins away driving through great scenery - good bendy drivers’ roads and some unlimited speed sections to give the car legs. Rooms were a good size with flat screen and on-suite. Highly recommended!
Cons: Only minor point was church that chimed at 6am, although the good double glazing blocked most of the sound out. This was not a problem.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Clean
Cons: Pillows too soft Asked for a water at breakfast, brought a fancy bottle and then charged 5 euros at checkout for the bottle of water
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were very good, bed was comfortable, and the atmosphere was great. The food in the restaurant was exceptional. Overall, a tremendous value for the money.
Cons: Location was a little off the beaten path, but well worth the value!

Pros: We have just returned from a few days stay at Gasthaus Am Brunnen. If you are looking for clean, comfortable and peaceful accommodation this is perfect. Rainer Michels immediately came out to greet us when we arrived with our motorcycles which were secured in his private garage with room for quite a few more if you are traveling in a group. The double rooms were recently decorated and spacious with plenty of hanging wardrobe space. Clean and fresh shower and toilet en suite. We had our breakfast and some evening meals which were excellent. All made and served by Rainer (who is a chef). Great value stay and will definitely stay again. Many thanks.
