Pros: View, breakfast, 3 bathrooms
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely beautiful apartment with fantastic view of Reichsburg Cochem. The location was perfect, away from the hustle and bustle of the village center, but still close enough to walk into the village. The owners of the apartment were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely stay here again!!
Cons: The walk up the hill is a bit steep, but made for a great workout :-)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful apartment, spacious, everything absolutely clean. Beds comfortable. Great view to Cochem and Cochem castle. We were allowed to use many chairs on the terrace and table on the terrace, where we could eat our food and enjoy wonderful view. Host family very friendly and always ready to help. We could store our bikes safely in the garage of the owners. Apartment is about 2km from center of Cochem, when you walk to the apartment- the last part is up the hill. But we knew that a that is "the price" you pay for o wonderful view.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely beautiful view from the breakfast room. The breakfast was also enormous, and quite good. The hostess was lovely, very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was that it was about a 20-25 minute walk from the center of Cochem to the apartment. However, the benefit of this walk is that you get the beautiful view of Cochem and the castle.

Pros: Alles was perfect.
Cons: Niets
7.1 Good
Pros: Incredible breakfast to say the least.
Cons: We stayed due to our friends booking this apartment. They were rudely refused check in because they had a baby. This draconian attitude is rediculous in todays social acceptance. When i questioned the host he simply did not give a care in the world. Very poor attitude. As a result we did not share an apartment that we had travelled vast distances to share each others company.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, amazing breakfast, lovely modern and comfortable room, great bed!
Cons: There was only one very small trashcan in the bathroom. Would have liked a bigger trashcan for our garbage.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and clean room. We checked-in a bit late (around 10 PM), but the lady was waiting patiently and welcomed us warmly.
Cons: Stairs. Stayed on the 3rd floor.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very nice and helpful personnel.
Cons: Rooms are a bit noisy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was excellent and the staff Claudia is a brilliant.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Room at the back confortable and less noise from traffic. Parking on an empty lot right beside the building. Excellent breakfast, with the usual variety of local cheeses and cold cuts. Corteous and helpful staff. Location just by the Mosel river, convenient for coming into or going out of the city. Cochem is an ideal base for a river tour on the Mosel and a visit to Burg Eltz, a nearby castle that some consider the best in Europe. It has been in the same family hands for almost 800 years, it is well maintained and has a collection of antique furniture and paintings quite impressive. We went by car, through a delicious contryside. Only tourable with a group guide, be sure to wait for an english one if your german is not fluent. No cards, only cash.
Cons: Location is by the river but for our needs a little bit far (10-15 min) from the center of town, especially if you come back at night. Taking the car to go to downtown is not really an option because public parking there is scarce. This of course is a personal preference.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was a beautiful 15 min. walk from the main town shopping area. The rooms have been redecorated recently and are very comfortable. We enjoyed a balcony with our room, where we relaxed with a glass of wine looking out on the Mosel river and Cochem Castle. The breakfast was a top notch buffet with meats, cheeses, brötchen, juice, coffee, and 3 choices of eggs--hard or soft boiked and scrambled! We were very excited to enjoy soft boiled eggs, as we can't find these often at hotel breakfasts anymore.
Cons: The bedroom and bathroom were a bit damp/musty smelling and a but of mildew in the shower, but it is difficult to keep things dry in this climate and on the river.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Across from river. Quiet spot. Great breakfast and friendly staff.
Cons: Double room with back to back beds.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was the best of all the hotels we have stayed in over the past4 weeks. The staff were friendly and dinner in the restaurant was good.
Cons: The room was a bit small but I’ve had worse and overall it was exceptional
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolute gem in Cochem! Amazing view over the castle and perfect conditions, clean, cosy, wecoming. Smiling personnel and especially the lady at the Reception. The breakfast is also excellent! Local specialities as well as a big choice of chees, fruits, breads etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a very good hotel. Everything works easily from the shower to the door key cards. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is amazing with a large hot thermos flask of good coffee giving at least three big cups which are warmed ready to pour into. The evening meals are delicious and good value at 20 Euros for three courses. The waiter is professional and so pleasant. We couldn’t eat three courses and just had a main, but they bing a complimentary little starter. It’s all lovely. The view from every balcony down the valley and across to Cochem Castle is stunning. This is the view from the dining rooms too. You can eat outside or in and enjoy the view. There is a relaxing garden with a small pool which is great in the warm weather. There are bikes to hire and it’s straight onto the Mosel cycle path. It’s an easy walk across the old bridge and into Cochem centre. The hotel lift runs from the cool cellar where you can roll your case up the slope from the hotel car park and access each floor.
Cons: Nothing! It was all excellent.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed the intimate feel of the small family-run hotel. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The view of the castle from our room was spectacular! Enjoying a bottle of local wine (sold at the hotel) on the porch was a great way to end our evening. Highly recommend.
Cons: We stayed during a heat wave and there was no A/C. This wasn't too bad because there was a large window, but the tower fan did not work well. The fan would have made a big difference in helping to cool the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service, room, food and location,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed the dinners and the options provided The extras like e-bikes, boat trips and free visitor train and bus passes all provided by the Hotel The honesty bar and the breakfasts were fantastic
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located across the river from the town and directly faces the castle - our room had a small balcony so at night we had a moonlit view of the castle and the town. The breakfast room and the outside seating area also looked out over the castle/town. There is good parking. There's steps up to the hotel but its not an issue as there's a lift in the basement area. Trust bar downstairs which we used to get water late one night - bottles of wine seemed to be about 10 euro and we saw a lot of other guests who ate in the hotel at night and / or sat out with a bottle of wine rather than walk back into town. Very good breakfast and you can sit out on the veranda and gaze at the castle / town while you eat. There's a small "pool" and sunbathing area as well and a sauna in the basement.
Cons: Nothing for us - really like it and have been twice. For others - you're on the opposite bank to the town and so have to walk back into town - we like that but others might not. If driving to hotel you come through the town cross the bridge and turn right and then the hotel is the last building on the left side of the road - I only note that as if you don't spot it you'll have to find a place to turn when you realise you've gone too far.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is one of the best we have had. The staff were superb. The facilities from the gym to the 'honesty' fridge were excellent. Our stay there coincided with a very hot spell of weather in June, and we were extremely happy for that service. There was plenty of information for walkers and cyclists.
Cons: Our only minor complaint would be that if your stay was for several days, the choice on the evening menu could have been a little more. But we managed. :-)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Unbeatable view from my second floor balcony (third floor must be amazing!). The lady at reception was so polite and explained the town to me with good spots to eat, even let me choose between two rooms for my favorite castle view :) breakfast was delicious with plenty of meats and cheeses and bread selection, and nice strong coffee. Would recommend to all who want the best view in Cochem!!!

Cons: Weak soundproofing between the rooms; impossible to pay with credit/foreign bank cards.

7.1 Good
Pros: The room in the new building was ok.
Cons: The refrigerator motor shook making a terribly loud when it cycled on and off. We lost important rest every night as we were awakened in a start roughly every 45 minutes. Going back to sleep was rather difficult.

Cons: The back of the building where room 3 was situated was still under construction. The window of the room was seeing on a wall so this is a bit disappointing. You have to pay by cash. No possibility to pay by credit card.

Cons: It wasn't an issue for us, but there was no elevator and quite a few stairs to climb!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice place and convenien. Nice staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was our 3rd stay at Villa Vinum Cochem. Great location and staff. The staff is very helpful providing any information. The breakfast is always outstanding.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well kept. Great location
Cons: The wifi in our room was very poor
6.3 Good
Pros: The hotel is in an excellent location for the town and has parking.
Cons: It may not bother some people, but I do not like a room where the toilet opens directly from the room with only a frosted glass door. The same is true of the bathroom. The lights are approx 5 mins timed on a photocell, so if anyone in the room uses the toilet or bathroom in the night, the whole room is illuminated for 5 minutes. Also, if your shower lasts longer than 5 mins, the light goes out while you are still under the shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great and the location ideal
Cons: I liked everything!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, breakfast and incredible rooms Highly recommend
6.3 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good, especially the coffee
Cons: Price of dinner, was very expensive for what it was and the quality was nothing special to justify the price.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The owner is very friendly. The hotel is neat and has a great location. You can do beautiful hikes in the neighborhood. Also Cochem is a nice village with enough restaurants to have dinner.
Cons: Breakfast was fine, but personally I like it to have some more fruit available and a large bowl of yoghurt. There was some yogurt, but you have to combine several small packages into a bowl to get a larger portion.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We just stayed one night but enjoyed it very much. The rooms are very recently renovated and very spacious. The breakfast was delicious and extensive. Our room had a view of the Mosel river and the castle. The parking is right next to the hotel. The beds were very comfortable.
Cons: It appears to be not really in Cochem itself but in Sehl. It is a good walk to get to the main area in Cochem where most of the restaurants are but we actually didn’t mind that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice breakfast, friendly and helpful host and clean and comfortable room. Very convenient for motorists as there is ample parking, a lovely view and scenic walk to the town.

Pros: in the center, 2 mins from the main square . all the restaurants and shops are around. `getting to the castle is around 15 mins walk. We had a room at the top floor, cozy and small.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Was clean and well located, nice staff and breakfasts
Cons: The white house wines in the restaurant
8.3 Excellent
Cons: The bed could have been more comfortable. It was a bit hard.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable large room. Good location in the old part of town. Wine festival in full swing!
Cons: No air con or fan provided. Necessary to leave windows open as it was hot. Wine Festival on but was finishing the first night of our stay but music didn’t stop till after 1 am. Because this hotel is in the old part of town, a narrow lane way separates it from the apartment opposite. I found it difficult to sleep listening to animated conversations! (I realise that people obviously are allowed to talk in their own homes!!) Lift not working on departure day but the owner did apologise.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. The owners were both pleasant and helpful. The location is excellent and a walking tour of Cochem was most enjoyable and not difficult from the hotel's location.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very helpful and friendly. Made the stay worthwhile.
Cons: Very difficult access to property. In a steep sidewalk with two three sets of stairs leading to the front entrance. Not impossible but difficult for anyone carrying heavy bags or with back or knee problems.

8.8 Excellent (292 reviews)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: They accommodated a last minute booking seamlessly. Check in was smooth. Clean, cute, great location, breakfast was great.
Cons: Nothing. Realize Google maps had the front door on street to the East. Wasn't a problem, just be aware at check in.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient to city attractions. The host was very friendly and helpful!!
Cons: The WiFi doesn’t work on the 3rd floor. The host was very apologetic. She says it’s due to the mountains. She did everything she could to accommodate. She is very nice and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location staff and facilities were brilliant Would recommend to everyone
6.7 Good
Pros: Good location, quiet, clean.
Cons: Our room was spacious and functional but not attractive. I like a quiet breakfast but other guests and and Ms. Albers carried on loudly so I ate and split ASAP. Ms. Albers was a bit overbearing; I suppose she was trying to be friendly but it felt intrusive.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Homey! Warm. Breakfast is generous. It is home away from home. Everyone is very friendly and attentive.
Cons: Nothing in particular. The entrance is a bit tricky but the other entrance via garment shop is also accessible. The staff in the garment shop is really helpful. By the way, the garment shop has extra-large size garments (3XL onwards) too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and the room were really nice. Best breakfast I ever had! Lady of the house was also really friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place.
Cons: Pillows were a bit to big. Not really sleeping pillows.
7.5 Good
Pros: The comfort double room was spacious and breakfast was great (note: if you can't appreciate a German/European style breakfast you may want to look elsewhere as this is what is provided)
Cons: Internet signal was weak and the speed was very slow (this may have been the result of the week signal). The quadruple room was small (compared to the comfort room) but is just sufficient, we felt this was overpriced. No parking options provided, but this was stated in the description so no surprise.
7.2 Good
Pros: The hotel was clean and efficient and very centrally located. The staff was helpful and friendly.
Cons:
7.6 Good

Pros: breackfast was good . the food on the menu in the bar was great cooked by rainer the owner who speaks good English. I was on my moterbike which was secured in locked garage over night .nice location 6km north off cochem in small village a way out of the tourist parts a good places to base your moterbike tour of the area. which have great roads to ride
Cons: not a lot .wanted a quiet place to relax after riding the great roads of the efil region great beer in bar .
9.6 Excellent
Pros: An exceptional family run guesthouse - perfect for a good night's sleep on a sightseeing tour. We were warmly greeted and showed to our room, which was absolutely spotless. There was a party in the downstairs restaurant, but the room was obviously soundproofed, as we couldn't really hear much - and at 10:30pm, everything went completely quiet. The breakfast was very satisfying, from the warm rolls to a fresh boiled egg and a nice meat/cheese selection. The owner was very friendly, yet unobtrusive and spoke excellent English. The location was in a quiet town, a bit off the beaten path, but an easy and scenic drive to the river and Burg Eltz. We would make an effort to stay here again when in the area.
Cons: We were happy with our experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Host was very good and made us feel very welcome. We arrived around 8pm and were given a good hot meal straight away. We were there for the Nürburgring 24 hour and the track was 30 mins away driving through great scenery - good bendy drivers’ roads and some unlimited speed sections to give the car legs. Rooms were a good size with flat screen and on-suite. Highly recommended!
Cons: Only minor point was church that chimed at 6am, although the good double glazing blocked most of the sound out. This was not a problem.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Clean
Cons: Pillows too soft Asked for a water at breakfast, brought a fancy bottle and then charged 5 euros at checkout for the bottle of water
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were very good, bed was comfortable, and the atmosphere was great. The food in the restaurant was exceptional. Overall, a tremendous value for the money.
Cons: Location was a little off the beaten path, but well worth the value!

Pros: We have just returned from a few days stay at Gasthaus Am Brunnen. If you are looking for clean, comfortable and peaceful accommodation this is perfect. Rainer Michels immediately came out to greet us when we arrived with our motorcycles which were secured in his private garage with room for quite a few more if you are traveling in a group. The double rooms were recently decorated and spacious with plenty of hanging wardrobe space. Clean and fresh shower and toilet en suite. We had our breakfast and some evening meals which were excellent. All made and served by Rainer (who is a chef). Great value stay and will definitely stay again. Many thanks.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The view is amazing from the balcony, breakfast is good and staff are friendly
Cons: It's in the summer and there's no fan or air conditioner in the room so it's very hot. The parking lot that the hotel reserved was always full. We had to wait at least 10 minutes everytime to park our car.

Pros: Location was perfect just a few minutes walk to the centre of Cochem but away from any noise. Room was comfy and the package included dinner which was great as it was raining and we didn't want to get soaked finding somewhere to eat. In fact the hotel restaurant was fully booked out.
Cons: The building is old and there is no lift. OK for us but may be a problem for others.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a great location - near to the station so if you do not have a car it is easy to get there. The staff were lovely and helpful. The value for money was exceptional as a solo traveller - the room I had would have been a bit small if I wasn't travelling alone however personally i do think it would be fine for 2 people, but do keep that in mind if you are someone or a couple that wants a lot of space, you may find it a tad small. Regardless, it was lovely and comfortable and comaprable hotels in cochem i believe were much more expensive. The breakfast was also delicious with a great range of options that were all fresh.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Fantastic facilities and rooms. Kind helpful staff and owners. Superb location.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
5.8 Okay
Pros: The breakfast. The variety and quality presented was excellent.
Cons: The booking.com presentation didn't match the reality. Non smoking room had a strong smell of smoke. Room size wasn't large enough to allow for two adults with luggage to move about comfortably.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location to stay in Mosel valley, free shuttle bus takes you to Cochem in five minutes, actually much better that staying in Cochem itself with all problems with parking and crowds of tourists. Parking was easy and free just across the road from the hotel. We've had two rooms, both were very nice and clean, convenient beds and nice wooden furniture. Owners are very pleasant, welcoming and helpful family. It was a pleasure to stay with them. Also we've arrived later than planned but they waited for us. Breakfast was quite good, nothing beyond the standard set, but still good variety and would make you full.
Cons: View from the rooms was not super fantastic, but that is such a minor point.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: very good range of breakfast items and a great welcome from the owner each morning. Although there was no restaurant (the owner said we could order an evening meal if we asked at breakfast time) but several nice restaurants within 300m
Cons: it was all fine!

Pros: The view from the room was the best. Very nice and kind staff. Thank you for everything!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly. I've never received such a warm welcome in a hotel. The room was clean and comfortable with an amazing view from the balcony. The included breakfast was quite large and had a lot of choices.
Cons: The noise from the road facing the window. This road runs along the entire river and there is no other way to live on a riverbank except to put up with that kind of noise. Fortunately, traffic at night is minimal and doesn’t hinder sleep.
6.3 Good
Pros: View from the room was great, staff was very friendly.
Cons: Room (21) was next to a noisy elevator and along a busy road which guaranteed no quietness between 07:30 and 23:00. Therefore the price-to-comfort ratio was very poor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view was amazing! Breakfast was excellent and the staff was very friendly. Since we were traveling with a young dog, we were quite happy with the elevator.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, very helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: Extremely low beds, thin mattress, not very comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such great hospitality, comfort & views in this friendly hotel with a personal touch. She remembered and brought us just what we wanted each morning at breakfast with our castle views, directed us how to navigate the trains, to quality shops in this quaint, beautiful little town, recommended which delicious local wines suited our taste, & spoke good English. Loved having our own balcony along with comfy bed & pillows, and the modern bathroom with towel warming bars made it luxurious.
Cons: Having to leave for the noise and impersonal big city.
