I can not begin to Express how awesome the staff is there. The housekeeping did an outstanding job with cleaning the rooms. The bellhops were so friendly and the front desk staff was incredible. We will without a doubt be coming back to this hotel ever year!
The one thing that we didnt like traveling with young kids is that we had to pay 5 dollars a night for the crib. We have stayed at way less expensive resorts and higher end resorts and this was the first time we ever had to pay for a crib.
Good location, small resort
Location, pool bar
Small overly crowded pool, not much poolside seating, room was outdated
Everyone at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort was wonderful and accommodating. We were looking for a quiet beach to relax for a couple days, and the huge, sandy beach at this resort was perfect.
Great location, very quiet and very clean! Outdoor space was beautiful but we only went to the beach (why go to the beach and stay at the pool all day?? I can get in a pool at home). Beach was quiet, no large crowds or nonsense. We loved it!
Fridge could've been larger but wasn't an issue for us.
Very clean but small rooms and pool
We loved the ocean view and the rooms were nice despite the size. Everything was clean.
As many others have said, the walk to the beach is a jaunt and the weekend we were visiting there had recently been a storm so the walkway was flooded with two plus feet of water. The beach itself was not altogether delightful- run down and dirty. We spent the weekend at the pool which felt very small and overcrowded. At the snack at we purchased a refillable cup only the find after drinking that there were ants in the soda line so our cup was full of dead and dying ants. Our purchase was not refunded.
Nice beach front location
Rooms were dated. We had a view of the roof and building across from that which wasn't part of our beach get away plans.
Excellent pool and beach
Bathrooms are on the small side
Wonderful Way to Spend the New Year!
We had an amazing stay at the Sheraton Sand Key. I was notified via text to check in early and request any preferences for our room. I was given an easy access room on a quiet floor and a ton of extra pillows, as I requested them because I am pregnant. The staff was super accommodating right from the beginning! The room we stayed in was updated, clean, and had a great shower. The resort is beautiful with the option of the pool and the beach available. My husband and I just pulled pool chairs out onto the sand past the volleyball courts and it was peaceful and quiet, and very relaxing! The beach is beautiful to swim, and walk along for sunsets. The food at the hotel is great too! A great place for families and couples alike, hard to find! i highly recommend!!!
Beach Concierge, Debbie, was Fabulous!
Enjoyed the location - Easy access to the beach, umbrellas and padded lounge chairs available for $25.00/day. We saw beautiful sea life (starfish, a baby octopus!, dolphins, pelicans, live shell dwellers) but no jellyfish and no sharks at all while we were there. Debbie, our Beach Concierge, brought us great sandwiches made upon order by the hotel chef for $10.00 each and she told us stories, answered all of our questions about the hotel and the area, helped us celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary -- She Was Wonderful! The hotel is clean and the staff was very accommodating. We had a wonderful experience. Our room had a partial view of the beach and it overlooked the tennis courts. It wasn't ideal but it was nice.
Our room smelled a little musty and it was located near the laundry/vending/ice machines which were all very noisy and used frequently. There was about half an inch of space at the bottom of our door to the hallway so we heard all of the noises from the hallway very easily. The room was a typical hotel room but the bed was very comfortable. And it's nothing that the hotel can control but the municipal water there is very soft and it feels like you're still soapy even though you're clean so it takes some adjustment to get used to.
Great location. Nice facility.
I liked the bed itself. It was good for sleeping.
The front desk was a mess. 4 people working it, but still a line of 5 people. I asked for another night in my room and was told there was no way. I asked for a room with a good view and a balcony. I got a view. And a balcony. FACING A TREE AND THEIR MAIN ENTRANCE WITH THE PARKING LOT TO THE SIDE. How romantic....
