Location was great
Noise level
Nice small hotel
The location was super the L is right next to the hotel. It was only blocks from boys town and lots of great places to eat that aren’t crazy expensive, but good. Parking both surface lot and garage are close by and cheaper than downtown.
The rooms were small that is for sure. I didn’t like having the toiletries attached to the wall it made it feel like a motel. It would have been nice to have a vending machine in the hotel but all you have to choose is the mini bar to choose from. The heater/AC is very hard to get comfortable having window unit for one and a wall unit for the other.
It's ridiculous how much you can pay for trash
Just coming in, you get a feeling you made the wrong choice. The lobby is scary, the long halls with carpets from the 1900's that have never been cleaned, the smell, the tiny elevator, and the noise from the train. Know what you're going in for.
Location was convenient. Room size was good.
Staff was not very social or polite. Breakfast was just ok.
Incredibly comfortable room and fabulous location!
Parking was a bit difficult
Good Hotel close to Wrigley Field.
Good Value. Divided room. Comfortable bed. Great location.
noise to cta. small elevator. breakfast was not the best.
24 hour coffee/tea bar was great, plus the location is hard to beat.
Parking is expensive, but parking in cities is always expensive.
The room was clean and nice, if a little aged.
The halls and lobby were overwhelmed with a potpourri/urinal cake smell that was clearly an attempt at masking something even less savory.
Amenities in room were on point. Everything I needed was represented. For a single traveler I found the room cozy overlooking Belmont. Location could not be beat for exploring the g hood, proximity to downtown, and Wrigley Park (next stop on the el). Had lots of questions, staff was accommodating.
2 cleanliness issues with hair, dresser and towels.- long strands. I'm bald, male. Refrigerator, 1st nite, saturated carpet around it. Reported it, nothing done. This is an older building, walls and ceiling are thin. 2nd night above neighbors moved in. Could hear them walking, and if there room was as small as mine, they must have been doing laps like a hamster. The saving grace, the white noise from the squeaky ceiling fan. This is every issue I had for a 3-day stay. The place is worth the rate with the understanding of the product. Perfect for a place to sleep after spending the day and evening exploring the city.
Great place
Rooms are clean and very comfortable. Convenient to things in the Lakeview and Wrigley Park area of Chicago. Right next to the Red Line.
The woman who works the front desk was very unfriendly. Not very welcoming at all.
The room is very nice as well as the bathroom all very clean who is in a great location my room actually faced the L and I never heard the train
Staff did not go out of there way to help you. Parking is extremely which is fine.
The expectations that travelers to Chicago have are just as big as the city itself. Hotels must provide the best in amenities, beautiful design, and have a staff that is eager to provide a high caliber of service. Because there are so many options, the competition is fierce. A great hotel has to stand out in all of these areas, and the City Suites Hotel routinely does just that, and it’s why this is one of Chicago’s great hotels.
The City Suites Hotel attracts both leisure and business travelers thanks to its amenities along with a choice location on Chicago’s North Side. This hotel is perfectly located – you can easily take a walk to great sights like the famous Wrigley Field. There’s more to the hotel than just location, though. The large windows give you a view of the city that can’t be matched. The décor of the hotel appears to be a bit old fashioned, but the colors used in the rooms and the lobby give it an unmistakable modern feel. The staff is eager to help with anything you may need – including dry cleaning.
When you stay at the hotel, enjoy the complimentary WiFi. This is a great way to plan each day’s activities. There is a breakfast included, so you can get your day started off with a great meal as well.
Visiting Chicago should be on every traveler’s bucket list. Booking a room at the City Suites Hotel is a great way to make the most out of this essential trip.
