Convenient for our purpose
They proposed to serve a continental breakfast in our room but there was no proper place to sit and eat it. We declined and had a cooked breakfast down the road.
Friendly and polite staff, good size room clean and comfortable
No problems
The room was clean and tastefully decorated and we were given a warm welcome by the owner (presumably), who was very friendly and efficient. We were warned in advance that there was to be a birthday party on the night we were staying there, but the disco would finish at midnight and then the guests would disperse. We were pleased to have been given the option to cancel if this would be a problem. Breakfast was served in our room and was basic but, for £4.95, adequate.
Unfortunately, the disco didn't finish until 12.40 and the guests (who were just one floor beneath us) didn't disperse until 2.00 a.m. Then there developed a problem with our smoke detector which beeped at random times throughout the night and that, coupled with the church clock chiming on the quarter hour, made sleep impossible. Sadly, we won't be staying there again.
It was exactly what I was looking for, comfortable bed, helpfull friendly staff, couldnt ask for more.
The family (triple) room had a huge bathroom. I would recommend the hotel but would advise people to ask about which room they were booking - avoid the double room overlooking the high street!
The double room was VERY noisy all night! The extractor fan from the kitchen was directly next to the bedroom wall & window and therefore I did not sleep well.
Room very clean and appeared to have everything you needed.
The uht milk was off so was unable to have morning cup of tea!! As there was no members of staff anywhere to be seen we were unable to remedy this. We Had to ring the hotel telephone number to be able to make contact with any staff.
It was clean and close to where we had to be
The breakfast , which was extra, was very poor and the rooms were noisy . Not great value for money to be honest.
