Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests consistently highlight the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the spaciousness of the rooms, and the hotel's beautiful, tranquil location. Breakfast is generally well-received for its quality and variety, though some mention limited options. However, many reviews note that the hotel is in need of refurbishment, with issues such as tired decor, cleanliness concerns, and maintenance problems in both rooms and bathrooms. Despite these drawbacks, the overall atmosphere and historic charm of the property are appreciated by many guests.

Pros (+) Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons (-) The building looks very tired and needs some attention. Bathroom definitely needed redecorating with badly laid floor tiles and bath panel caving in from water from shower.
