For driving in Kristiansund, it is highly recommended to hire an all-wheel-drive (AWD) vehicle, particularly during the winter months when the roads can be icy and snowy. AWD vehicles, such as SUVs, provide better traction and stability compared to two-wheel drive (2WD) cars when navigating steep and winding roads or when driving on unpaved surfaces. Additionally, an AWD vehicle can handle the hilly landscape and the sometimes unpredictable weather conditions in the area.

Pros:the car was good.
Cons:The info I got from the International Hertz operator was wrong. I couldn't pick up my car the night I landed at Molde airport. I even paid extra fee to have the workers stay open, but my car was at another airport. The operator said I could take a shuttle between Molde and Kristiansund airports to get my car, but no. I had to have a friend pick me up that night, then had to take a bus for a couple hours the next day. I didn't get it till 3:30pm. Then I had to pay another fee to drop it off at another airport, the one I landed and took off from, Molde.
