I was led to believe the price quoted online would include everything. Upon arrival we were informed of the mandatory insurance which was way more than the cost of the rental. Picking up the car took an hour because it was so slow to verify that our credit card provides insurance on our rental. I had checked ahead with our CC and printed out the information they sent in anticipation of this, but they wanted to see a policy with our name on it. After two international calls we were able to get them what they wanted. This should have been more clear ahead of time. The real problem came when dropping off the car. We told them that it had leaked some oil on my grandmother's driveway, so they could fix it for the next person. On noticing the oil, we monitored the oil level and decided to call it in if it got low. It was never too low so we enjoyed our trip. However, they accused us of damaging the car and causing the leak ourselves. My mechanic husband got below the car and saw one dent with rust on it (old damage, not due to us) and a loose bolt on the oil pan (also not our fault) with dirty oil junk that had accumulated over a long time. Within one minute of arriving, they told us the charge would be over $200 from the damage. They decided to charge us before a mechanic had looked at the car. What a pain! They obviously prey on people that don't know any better and are rushing to catch their flights. We had driven very little and had in no way damaged the car in the 30 minute drive to our destination. They were ridiculous! Avoid this company at all costs!Ace

I made my reservation from this site for a full size sedan preferably a Optima since that is what the listing said, OPTIMA. A few days after reservation I purchased the insurance through the website since it was a pretty decent deal. Well at my arival apparently a Kia Optima means a small VW Jetta with bunch of scratches and the airbag light on. I showed her the listing and it said Kia Optima or similar full size, welll to them, a Kia Optima is not a full size but a Luxury category which costs waaaay more. The teller did not want to take the insurance I purchased prior but gave me two choices, I either purchase their insurance since for them the insurance I purchased was not a valid insurance or leave a $5,000 dollar deposit in guarantee if something happens to the car they will fix from those $5,000 dlls. Really? My first and my last rental from this company, hands down. P.s. The insurance they charged me was almost $300 dlls. Awesome!!!Europcar

I was not given an option to decline insurance coverage not needed or wanted. My reservation would not have been honored and they would have declined car rental. I had 8 pieces of luggage and 94 and 92 year olds with me. I had no choice but to accept very expensive insurance, not needed as my credit card covers it. Also, no car available on location for me and I had to wait a full hour for the car. I was lied to, being told it was being cleaned. I walked over to the cleaning bay to check and no caravan was there. I asked again and was told it was a few more minutes while they finished cleaning it. I confronted them and explained there was no car there and to give me an honest answer. They finally said it was coming from a different location. They still had to clean it when it arrived. I rented the car I was given a price online. I was to pay at pick up. Once I got to Mexico to pick up the car, Europcar try to charge my credit card $9,000 US Dollars for insurance protection. I declined it online because my credit card covers any theft or accidents. The gentleman at the rental place said that he needed me to send him my visas terms and conditions which I did. He then said he still needed to place a hold. Because of the large amount the bank placed a fraud alert, and shortly after he attempted to run my card for the $9,000 US dollars I saw that they had a sign in Spanish that read that if you purchase insurance with them then there would be a $5,000 Mexican pesos hold on the card. In the end because of the fraud alert and such they ended up placing the insurance I left a $700 US dollar deposit and upon return I was charged almost $200 US dollars for the vehicle which I only rented for 2 1/2 days. They overcharged me, my initial quote was for $70 US dollars. I am extremely dissatisfied. The only good news is that I called my credit card company and explained the situation and they will submit a claim so that I only pay my quoted amount. Locals told me that yes I was ripped off and that next time I should pay ahead of time rather than waiting to pay at pick up.2.4 Poor

I had the worst service and i got the worst car, it smelled awful on the inside and it was so dirty and it wouldnt run more then 40 km. I was also given the car with an empty tank in a city that i dont know and i didnt have any nearby gas stations. With the conversión of dollars to pesos i could have gone to a junk car place instead and gotten a car of better conditions. Lastly, i do not understand how RentCars can have such a nasty company like Eurocars. I am extremly disappointed that i spent my money for such poor service and experience.GREEN MOTION

When I arrived to pick up vehicle the Payless Rental Agency had no office inside the airport or shuttle that takes you to pick up the office. You have to walk three blocks towards there office!!!! With a family of three small children and four suitcases.....Once I arrived to the office there was a line of about 15 people in front of me, which was not a problem because it was a Friday and I could understand the rush. Once it was my turn after one hour and half of waiting they informed me that the vehicle I had requested was not available even though I had reserved it with more than a week of anticipation. That they could offer me a regular car but that it would cost me about double what the original reservation would be. They informed me that because I did not do the reservation directly with them that I had to call you're office to change anything ……..I tried many times calling you're office but with no luck...….This has been the worst experience me and my family have had …..We have never been treated like this …...We will never you you're service and will definitely recommend to any one we know or meet never to use this service ever.Cons:

The site we chose to pick up our car had a sign taped to its door instructing us to call a number. We waited for 20 minutes for someone to appear, who brought us to a different location 15 minutes away in the rental car we would be renting. They shouldn’t have made us go out of our way by advertising a false pick up location, it added unnecessary time and confusion to the whole experience. It was very pricy and there was a 4.5% hidden fee for using a credit card when we returned the car.2.0 Poor

My Am Ex covers car rental insurance. I checked. The person attending insisted I pay for 3rd person insurance. I declined. She would only rent me the car if she secured $18,000 on the Am EX. $18k is beyond my limit. She got an extra $130 out of me.2.0 Poor

Pros:
We damaged the car a bit and they were understanding about it, did pay a penalty but came out cheaper than getting the insurance for the full week and a halve I did purchase the liability with the rentalCons:
