Pros: The location is situated at a super convenient location attached to a shopping mall and just within 2 min. walking distance to the famous Pozi Street. Our room was beautifully decorated with different types of balloons to celebrate our anniversary, we truly appreciate the staff's thoughtfulness! The room is very nice with river view and very spacious.

They looked after my laptop while I went to zhangjiajie for 4 days as I didn't want to take it. Although I did wonder if they thought I gave it to them as a gift at one point, and I'd never see it again. Luckily this didn't happen. The reception are is very nice with many seats to relax and they have a movie nights on a big pull down screen.

Cons: The room was clean, but there was quite some mould around on the walls. As well as one of our towels looked more like a Swiss cheese than an actual towel. The staff was friendly, but they were not motivated to recommend a restaurant or a taxi to the train station.

Cons: Horribly cold in the winter, the room has a small heater which does nothing to heat the room. It was absolutely frigid in the room. The toilets have no heat either, steam comes on the toilet when you use it. Only squat toilets available. Staff not particularly helpful either. Do not recommend at all.

Cons: The beds weren't as comfortable as other hostels of similar price range in China, bathrooms smelled bad (also they only have squatting toilets which was fine for me but could be an issue for some people), staff do not speak Chinese (again, wasn't a problem for us but it requires a bit of patience if you don't speak Mandarin).

Cons: No toilets, only squatting. The ones upstairs were very dirty. No English speking staff, in fact no English speaking anybody. Everyone was Chinese I felt quite isolated in what should be an international youth hostel. Spent 2 days in Changsha and I genuinely believe I was the only tourist in the city. Not a great place to stay on your travels.

Cons: Very hard to find, expensive accomodation for what you get, bed linen, not that atmosphere specify hostels. Anyway, most of travelers are chinese people, China in generally is not a good place for foreigners backpackers.
