I am very satisfied with the room, and it's clear that there was a great deal of attention paid to every element of its design. Every time we walked back in, we felt a renewed sense of amazement because of just how beautiful it was. A big highlight was the view: we stayed on the 39th floor, and the view over Changchun's city centre was FABULOUS. Our room had a really cool-looking sofa adorned with gorgeous cushions right next to the window, which, by the way, is absolutely HUGE and is also installed with a mechanical curtain that can be pulled up and down automatically with the push of a button. We also got to make use of the indoor pool/gym/steam room facilities, which were clean, chic, and not the least bit crowded. Frankly, we didn't want to leave!
It may sound a little nitpicky, but for a five-star hotel, I was honestly expecting there to be more high-quality Western options available at the breakfast buffet, particularly with regards to viennoiserie/deli items; the selection of cheeses and cold-cuts was very limited, and the pastries that were on offer were quite bland. I have been to other five-star hotels before that are much better in this regard. The selection of Chinese options is fabulous and highly varied, but I did notice that there are a lot of Westerners who stay at this hotel, so I feel this is something worth focusing and improving on. Anyway, this is only meant as a minor criticism, and I would still totally stay here again, but this is just one element that I was a little underwhelmed by.
The staff are nice and helpful especially the one who helped me to get the cab in early morning and asked me to wait inside due to cold weather. When the cab arrived, he informed and showed me out. I didn’t have to wait for the transport by myself
The young lady in front desk showed impatience and terrible attitude when addressing issues of her making. Unbelievable.
Very spacious room with great wiev on the city, breakfast was excellent, highly recommended.
