I am Canadian. I was traveling with my Moroccan partner. We were given a room that the air conditioning was not initially working. A technician finally came after several requests and repaired it. At the same time, his phone began the “call to prayer” at the highest volume possible. I didn’t even know a phone could be so loud. It played for a while, which he did not turn off immediately. I believe this is something that should certainly be allowed, but it is private. I hope he was not trying to give us a message that we were not being appropriate according to Islamic parameters. I was given the same impression at the front desk upon leaving. Asking me “did we have 2 rooms or one.” This is difficult enough, navigating a country that does not allow you to stay where you wish, when you wish, but to be judged by staff at the IBIS is unacceptable. We also had only 1 towel in the room. I was not very pleased. The hotel is very nice as are the rooms, but your staff need to be trained on greeting ALL your guests equally and well !!!
Breakfast is surved on time.
Overall ok! The rooms are relatively cleanish. Security is really bad tough! I was staying wth a friend in seprat rooms for 3 nights.. on the 2 day they gave my friend's room key to another persone by mistake thinking he cheked out then switched my friends room to another one without his knoledge to cover it up. On our return..thinking his walking to his secured booked and payed for hotel room.. he ended up walking on some other guy! the horror is the arritude of the hotel claiming it's no big deal cause they cheked him in a nicer room so he should just let it go! His stuff and everything was there ..this type of mistakes is sickning..it could have went pretty bad. A hotel should at least keep a clear track of who come's in and out!! There is no parking so plan a head.
The hotel has been renovated and looks great. I like that it is 30 minutes drive to the airport.
The staff members are great and helpful.
The hotel needs refurbishment and renovation. Breakfast quality is not the same anymore; improvement is a must.
The ibis Casa Sidi Maarouf hotel is located in the Sidi Maarouf business district, just a 1-minute walk from the Zénith tram stop. The hotel has 85 air-conditioned rooms with free WIFI, including 6 spacious suites equipped with a sofa bed, which can accommodate up to 3 people. The hotel is near to the Technoparc business district as well as some of Casablanca's large multinationals. The Office des Changes exhibition center is just 10 minutes away, and the Oasis train station is 2 minutes away by taxi.
