1. Located at the heart of the city 2. High security with card access to toilets as well 3. Water cooler for you to refill your bottle
1. Noisy at night from the road side 2. No showering items for you (soap, towel)
It was in a really good spot. There was a pool and sauna and an activities room, along with a cafeteria. The bed was soft and pretty clean. There are communal fridges downstairs. There is an elevator.
The bathrooms were quite small and busy.
Very spacious. Very big and cozy room and restroom and common place. Good location. Good good good.
The upper bed is too hard to climb (the ladder is upright to the floor and it really hurts my feet). If possible, get the bed below!!!!!! And you cannot charge your phone in the upper bed too..
No changing points near the bed
This was my second stay at YHA and I would always enjoy staying the night as the location is central. The beds are comfortable and no bed bugs. Rooms are also spacious with interior communal tables and exterior general lounges for relaxation and connecting with other guests. The toilets were very clean including a separate compartment to hang clothes and thing you do not want to get wet while taking a shower. Lifts were functional and staffs available 24 hours and friendly if you need directions around the city.
As with all vacation expenses, we could enjoy a discounted price (say $35-40/night, if possible). Also very important, a computer workstation to access paid internet and paid print of documents (in case the library and other outlets are closed).
A stay at Canberra City YHA - Hostel places you in the heart of Canberra, within a 10-minute walk of Canberra Centre and National Convention Centre. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and a 24-hour front desk.
