The hotel is modern in design, with Euro-style bathrooms. Once you discover how the lights are turned on and off, everything is fine. We had a nice dinner in the bar. The staff are very pleasant. There is a bike-pedestrian trail (Minuteman Commuter Bikeway) nearby if you want to have a pleasant walk. Also, it's a short walk (equivalent to about 2-3 blocks) to the Alewife Station of the Red Line. It is only 3 stops to Harvard Square and also the Red Line will take you to downtown Boston among other places. There are few restaurants or shops in the immediate vicinity but we had a good dinner in the hotel bar. It does not serve lunch, however. For lunch, I suggest taking the Red Line (3rd stop) to Harvard Yard area, which has many good restaurants, shops, and museums. They do sell packaged sandwiches and other packaged lunch items in the hotel.
There is construction underway (Oct 2018) and since the office park is being built out, it's possible construction will be a feature for a while to come. The pile driving and other construction activities were kept to 7am to 4pm so it was not a problem sleeping at night. However, if you are going to be hanging around the hotel in the daytime, it can be obnoxious. Also, it can be a little difficult to find this hotel, which is right along the expressway. There are few shops or restaurants in the vicinity but it is a short walk (equivalent of about 3 blocks) to the Alewife Station on the Red Line, so very easy to get into Harvard Square area, where there are great restaurants, shops and museums.
Noisy at night walls are thin
We had the best service we've ever had at a hotel. The front desk staff, manager, and doorman were so kind and went out of their way to help us. The food was very good and the restaurant staff was excellent.
