7.0 Good
Pros: Great location for the car ferry and perfect for a quick night to get your head down for some rest
Cons: Toilet seat was broken and there is a stale smoke smell from the entrance
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: CARPARK IS NOT SECURE CCTV DOESNT WORK STAY ELSEWHERE
Cons: The car park is not secure at all No gate to prevent access by anyone When I reported to hotel that forced entry had been made to my car I was informed that CCTV didnt work and that I should report to police. Couldnt have been any less helpful. I regularly pitstop in Calais in similar hotels in the atera they all have gates restricting access to car park and there is clearly anne for them.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Staff kind. Knew they about bugs problem?
Cons: One room had bugs in the bed. Stressful. Nuisance
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Staff were really friendly and helpful. Decor was worn and dated but clean and comfortable.
Cons: Other guests were noisy, lots of slamming doors, loud conversation and laughing in the early hours (1am). I also discovered afterwards that someone had attempted to break into my van, the lock and making it impossible to open and which created difficulties at the border security check. I almost missed my ferry as a result. Maybe I was just unlucky.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good value for money, good location for the tunnel and ports. Staff very friendly and helpful. We would stay again next time we cross the channel.
Cons: Pillows were too hard and we personally prefer duvets to sheets and blankets. Room was clean but decor and furnishings are a bit worn and dated but acceptable for a hotel at that price. It was a little noisy with people talking and dogs barking on the night we stayed.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Staff friendly and polite. I know its cheap.but room was freezing. Only a blanket and throw no quilt
Cons: Basic cold room. Horrible location. Breakfast not worth the money More like a youth hostel
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was small but OK for rather cheap price. I did not tried the breakfast, but it smelled good in the morning. The crew were quite friendly and helpful. The night manager spoke a very fluent English. The day manager was not comparable, but she was too very helpful.
Cons: The bed sheets were clear (I guess!) but the cover was not. There was no slippers for the room or the bathroom. The bathroom did not feel clean. THere was no cautionary sign for Corona outbreak. I think the employee completely overlooked the possibility of the virus at the location, while the province was recognized as the most risky area in France. Room was OK. It was a bit of noise from the outside the next morning that woke me up.
7.0 Good
Pros: The price, as it’s great value for money. 24 hour check in, location for Calais ferry port (5 mins drive). This is consistently the cheapest en suite accommodation in Calais. free off road parking.
Cons: The hotel is tired. There is not much in the area around the hotel, unlike in Calais centre.

6.0 Good
Pros: The beds were comfortable. Perfectly adequate for a quick overnight stop before an early tunnel crossing the following day.
Cons: The hotel is a 'motel' style and a little dated. A bit pricey considering what you get.
7.0 Good
Pros: Comfy beds
Cons: Walls are thin
5.0 Okay
Pros: The choice of food was ok and the service fine. Well located to get onto autoroute.
Cons: It must be 20+ years since I stayed at this hotel and apart from up dating the reception and dining area the rooms appear not to have changed. If anything more stripped back. I realise that it is a night stop over but the rooms are most unwelcoming. I think the food is expensive.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast
7.5 Good
Pros: Close to the port
Cons: O
7.0 Good
Pros: Local to ferry port
Cons: Old and dark room

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Première Classe Calais Centre - Gare, you'll be centrally located in Calais, within a 5-minute walk of Les Six Bourgeois and Musee des Beaux-Arts et de la Dentelle. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Simple one or two night good value simple stay chain motels, clean but simple bedrooms typical of French Chain motels with clean functional small en-suites, offering buffet breakfast for an optional charge. Helpful and charming personnel.
Cons: Slight difficulty in finding the place, specially the front entrance, despite a GPS. On the other hand we were arriving during the evening and had never driven in Calais at night.
7.0 Good
Pros: location good breakfast paid for but not available as I needed to leave at 7.30am; b/fast 8am onwards
Cons: corridors and stairs grubby and carpets stained and worn out
6.0 Good
Pros: Location was good. Room was functional and clean
Cons: Carpets in the corridors were not clean. Outside in the carpark there was litter including many cigarette ends My roof box was broken into and and person hid in it (and was arrested in England). It may be that lighting could be improved. I know that this is not the fault of the hotel, but it did not make me feel good.
5.0 Okay
Cons: For 1 person price for hard mattress and very poor quality room room without breakfast way tooooo much. Also I left by accident cosmetic bag and when I rang I was told to write email and it's a month and no reply!!! It was 200e worth of stuff . I am furious. Could use a brush of paint.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The no fuss registration, the crisp white sheets, the cosy room. The hotel is in walking distance of some nice restaurants - last time in October ‘19 we ate at the Coq d’Or on the Place de la Toure - delicious. This time we tried L’Ancien Fourne, also good.
Cons: Getting up in the morning.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Handy location by the train station... if you can find the hotel entrance!
Cons: Self check-in system didn't like me! It took a long while, a phone call and ultimately staff help before I could get inside. Very little lighting or shelter from the rain when attempting to use system. The place is a very basic people storage warehouse and universally unpopular. TV not working properly. Although the room rate included breakfast, I was asked to pay again if I wanted any.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Very close to eurotunnel. Very cheap. Rooms were pretty clean
Cons: Difficult to get in to the place - no staff around to help out of hours. No where to drop key cards in the morning when making an early start. Communal corridors were smelly with dirty carpets. Blanket in our room had multiple cigarette burns
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good clean basic accommodation, fresh towels daily and room cleaned. Would like tea/coffee making facilities in the room or access to hot drinks in the evening as the bar closed early. Aside from that excellent little hotel on a budget.
Cons: Hot drinks equipment or a vending machine for same when bar & dinning room are closed.
7.0 Good
Pros: Room was very clean and dark so I slept well. I was very impressed that although it was an automatic checkin after 9.00 there was someone there to meet us when we arrived very late after 10.30 to help with the checkin, all in all I would use it again.
Cons: Breakfast a bit disappointing as limited and no human contact. The place is a bit barrack like and minimalist but it is functional so I didn't mind it too much. Shower needed some attention, drain blocked and water temperature too hot and difficult to control.

Pros: Lovely room decor. Nice touch of a pack of sweets and bottle of water in room. Nice continental breakfast and a funky vibe in the reception area
Cons: Busy loud road and no parking.
6.0 Good
Pros: We could have our dog with us. Good breakfeast. Restaurants in easy walking distance.
Cons: 4 beds in the room, when we needed only three- they took up all the room, and I would have preferred a more comfortable sitting space and table or desk instead. Either the family rooms need to be bigger, or the extra beds need be retractable. We booked on the day, and at over 110 Euro, this was rather expensive, considering the room. Also some wall paper had come off the wall, and plugs holding lamps were coming out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, clean, very efficient, will definitely use again.
Cons: Great once you’ve found the parking entrance.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Location was really good, staff very responsive and helpful and breakfast was good. Rooms were clean and bathroom very accessible. No problems with WIFI and very good restaurants in area.

Cons: Nothing
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The location was handy and the staff were pretty friendly.
Cons: This hotel is an embarrassment to the Holiday Inn Brand and I think their senior staff should pay a visit here. The rooms are in a terrible state of dilapidation, the food in the restaurant was terrible. So bad the staff don't even enquire if you enjoyed your meal as they surely know just how bad the dining experience is. Next time I'd rather drive a few more hours than stay here.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is so helpful and friendly.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Extra pillows were provided on request. The door closed. The lights worked. It was conveniently located to get an early morning ferry.
Cons: There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room The room was scruffy and the carpet appeared dirty The lift was non-operational overnight, which meant walking from the 3rd floor with all luggage when leaving at 5.30am
5.6 Okay
Pros: Location.
Cons: Old and rundown. Wifi didn't work. Shower floods bathroom and bedroom.
1.0 Poor
Pros: The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. The sheets and pillow cases and duvet cover were clean and ironed, mattress was comfy.
Cons: The building was very shabby from the outside and the free parking was 'find somewhere in Calais to park'. The shower tiles' grouting had a pink mould which is e-colii, they needed to be scrubbed with an anti-bacterial cleaning liquid. I so was horrified we did not use the shower. The online photos and information are misleading.

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location was good and it was cheap
Cons: The place is a real dive. Front door was broken, carpets were sticky and the whole place was dirty and stank. Room was tiny, electric sockets were unsafe, toilet was in an odd place and broken. Didn’t dare use the shower, kettle or anything else there. We’re supposed to have 2 x double beds and had 1 x double and 2 x single. It was really cheap, but worse than anything I’ve ever stayed in before including hostels when I was backpacking many years ago.
6.0 Good
Pros: The price
Cons: The window in the room didn’t closed properly and the room was very cold over night
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: It's hard to know where to start. I have stayed in worst places but not very many. The only thing I liked was leaving the place
Cons: Just about everything. The door pad was difficult to operate, the floor felt sticky, cooking facilities very rudimentary etc
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: I liked very little about this property to be honest. Location was handy and price was relatively low but it was not worthy. Liked the idea of having a microwave but then when I got there and saw how dirty it was I did not even feel like using it.
Cons: There were neither towels nor bed sheets/pillow cases. Shower holder was broken. Toilet seat was rudimental. Kitchen area was evidently filthy. Even found some chairs on the table and used cutlery in the sink.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Breakfast served too late. 9.30am?! I had a ferry to catch at 9.15. So can't comment on it. Clean sheets and towel. The bedroom door did lock properly. Water was hot.
Cons: These things didn't work, though had been advertised: electric hob. TV. Microwave, plug for bedside lamp. Window was cracked and taped with Scotch tape. Front door code was faulty and I had to get the desk staff from another building to open it for me. Otherwise on my own I would try 5 or 6 times before it worked. Paint work was dirty, rusty and old. Bathroom outside blinds were impossible to open or close (they were half-open, so you could not switch the light on and use the bathroom in the night. Washing and use of toilet was in the dark! Filthy stair carpet from door up to room.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The location was good, there was on street parking and it the accommodation was very cheap.
Cons: The room was not very clean. The main door to the street was always open. There was no kettle or bottle opener. The hob didn't work and there was only one knife.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
5.4 Okay
Pros: It was easy to leave
Cons: What didn’t you like?: What did I like?
