The hotel was everything that we would expect for the cost: it doesn't have a bar or a dining room, but we would have had to pay a lot more for these services. All these services were available just outside the hotel, so not a concern. It was clean, comfortable, sizable rooms and very pleasant environment and excellent value for the cost. The location was very good.
The location is fantastic (3 minute walk to all the boat tours to the great barrier, 1 minute walk to a big supermarket, several nice restaurants in the same block). The facility is super clean with big rooms, very comfortable bed and spotless bathroom. Overall a fantastic stay.
The property was clean, with a comfortable bed and friendly staff
The staff members were incredibly sweet and helpful (although nobody thought to tell us about the continental breakfast and what times it was being offered). The place was very clean, and right where we wanted it to be.
We didn't like how cold the unnecessary air-conditioning in the building as a whole was. We had come to Cairns to warm up, but the air con meant we were very cold. We couldn't open the "window" to let some warmer air in the room, and we didn't like staring out our window at a wall. My daughter didn't like the lights that shone in our room all night, and I didn't like the constant hum of the refrigerant our room and the air con machines (or whatever it was making the noise) below our "window". There was nothing about our room that suggested to us that we had come to the tropics (let alone to Cairns). It was a convenient place to stay, and it's always great to have lovely staff members, but we both felt that next time we would opt for something that felt, and was, warmer and more tropical.
it was comfortable and clean and near to Perottas at the Gallery which is a favourite from way back.
as a boutique hotel I expected something a little more original, this had the look of job-lot decor and minimal staffing. Parking was a big problem as it was metered parking outside.
