Pros: This place was chill to the max, like they turned the chill knob to 11 and ripped it off. The staff were are free spirited people living the life in Cadiz and the decor of this place was just awesome. Google photos of this place right now and you'll see what I mean. I rented a surf board from them for 15 euros, which includes a wetsuit as well. To my knowledge this is the cheapest way to go surfing in Cadiz. There are also surf trips that you can go on with the staff as well. They also provide breakfast and a five euro dinner.

Pros: I received a warm welcome when I arrived at Casa Caracol - the woman on reception was super friendly and made me feel welcome. I stayed in the 7 bed female dorm for 3 nights - The beds were comfortable and there was a good amount of space to store belongings (I had a cabin size bag). The hostel is located close to Cadiz train station and it was easy find from there; it’s also close to attractions such as the Cathedral and beaches are easily accessible by foot. The night I arrived there was a delicious evening meal provided at the very reasonable price of €5 and a free breakfast was provided each morning. I would recommend this hostel!

Cons: In my room, many the under-the-bed lockers didn't lock. There was a hinge that had broken off mine, but I didn't notice this right away. I imagine this will get fixed at some point.

Cons: Breakfast ist nothing special
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location! Funky vibes! The rooftop.
Cons: Pancakes for breakfast- good change from a typical menu, but needed consistency in quality. Depending on who made them, they were ok or not so.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location is very good. Staff is nice. The terrace is quite good. Living room is very big and nice to spent some time. It is clean all around.
Cons: The room is very small and humid, it was intended to be for 6 people, but there are 7 . I wouldn't mind if the room was bigger and has a window. Maybe some other rooms are better. The kitchen again is super small, they are cleaning all the time, but it is sort of smelling. There are cockroaches in the kitchen running around the table, dishes.

Pros: Super nice staff! Very comfortable hostel although the kitchen space might be a little bit too small.
Cons:

Pros: Room at Pirates was nice. Balcony lovely and bathrooms spacious and clean.
Cons: The first person we encountered at reception was very very loud and overly talkative and a bit strange. I can see that the very young backpackers would like this but we are in our forties and didnt want this type of hyper and unappealing welcome to Cadiz. The breakfast at Pirates was a bit limited--coffee and milk ran out well before the end of breakfast. However all in all this was good value for money and excellent location close to train and cathedral and centre of the old town.

Pros: The terrace and free breakfast
Cons: There was no one at the property to let me in when I arrived to check in, even though I had set my arrival time (early afternoon) when booking. After an hour and a half and multiple calls, someone came to process my check in without so much as an apology.

Pros: The breakfast was the usual cheaper hostel breakfast, it is quite allright. I did have a good sleep and we all got our own key. They also have lockers (bring your own lock though).
Cons: Breakfast is only served at 8.30 am which is quite late, especially when the staff is late and you need to catch a bus. We were with 4 waiting in front of a closed door, so I wasn't the only one. I believe that the bathrooms are quite occupied when the hostel is full. I could only find 3, whereof 2 were occupied in the morning and 1 was a bit flooded. Toilet and shower/bath are in the same room. One bathroom couldn't lock anymore, with a bit of maintenance this issue could be resolved.
