Great location, nice hotel in renovated Ottoman house.
No elevator so difficult with luggage. Hotel clerk was nice but spoke no English or Arabic so could not communicate. Hotel on steep hill. Rooms very dated and not clean. Mold in shower. Heard traffic and people talking til 2 am . Not sure how they have such a good rating by booking.com will not return. Only good thing is the old market shopping it is right across the street

Excellent Location, walking distance to city center. Comfy beds, friendly staff. Highly recommended, best value for money
If you are looking for a great location in Bursa, don't look any further. Note, this hotel does not have an elevator, so be prepared to walk the stairs. We received a lovely welcome from the employees and even that we changed the dates of the reservations, we were accommodated on a higher floor and with complimentary parking - as requested. Bursa is a magical city with many hidden places you'll have to take time to discover. Safran hotel is right in the middle of it, centrally located -the good is you don't have to go far and can see most historical areas of the First Ottoman Empire in a day, yet the bad is that while the hotel was super quiet you'll hear the loud prayers very early in the morning. The first day it came as a surprise, as I wasn't prepared for it (still sleeping), yet we got used to it and enjoyed it. We had rooms on the higher floor overlooking Taxi station and a busy street. Right across the street, you saw the tombs of first Ottoman empire leaders. Breakfast varieties were not as in the big city, yet you had all you needed - and the yogurt we had there was the best from all Western Turkey we visited. Also, you were able to make Coffee and Tea in your room. Room offered floor heating, which came in handy when we came from a day-long adventures and our shoes were wet. While in Bursa, if you have car, make sure to find time to go to their Therman baths (not every bath in Bursa will have thermal water, so check it out before you pay the entrance fee) and go to the 700 year old Ottoman Village to have their all day Sultan Breakfast.
The room did not have safe.
A really great place to stay, superb value and close to historic sights, warm friendly and very helpful team at the hotel.
There is nothing to not like about this hotel.
