The pool was lovely and the food was fab. The common areas of the hotel are fresh and beautifully decorated. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The rooms are tired and in desperate need of an upgrade. Paint, towels, bedding- all old and requiring replaced. Poor quality soaps. Bathrobes were full of holes and rips; slippers paper thin. Radiators where ends fall off when you touch them. Poor quality furniture. The shower was not fit for purpose- it’s one of the kind you need to hang up to use as a shower, but this was broken and took two days to fix. Once fixed it didn’t stay on the wall, but flew off with the pressure, soaking the bathroom. The shower screen was 2-3ml off the tub so just acts like a waterfall to the floor. Absolute stress to shower. The restaurant, whilst delicious, didn’t change it’s menu once during our 4 day stay. The court yard, whilst lovely, acts like an echo chamber so guests smoking and having a drink outside (til 2am) boomed voices into your room resulting in poor sleep. Front desk staff didn’t see this as an issue. Missing all the little touches in your room that make a 5* rating.
The Staff were very helpful and friendly. It was clean and the breakfast was wonderful
The kitchenette in our room was very poorly equipped.. We needed this for a young baby and it was poor. The sofa bed was really uncomfortable.. The pool was so much smaller than the photo let us to believe
The Team & the service is absolutely brilliant. The staff was amazing, so polished and so helpful. The hotel Interior is perfect. Highly recommend the hotel for your next stay in Budapest. You will not be disappointed!
The restaurant was good (although they acted like they wouldn't have a table for me at first without a reservation), the hot tub and pool were nice enough, the bed was comfortable, the balcony was nice to have, the kitchenette was a nice addition, and it was quiet. The gym had a surprising amount of gear for a hotel gym.
For the price compared to other local hotels I expected a nicer place. It was nice enough but it was a little run down/not updated in the room. There were a couple areas of damage in the pool that should have been updated. The gym was nice but it looked like there were mouse droppings along the edge of the wall. I didn't get super close to it so I can't be sure, but regardless it needed a good vacuum. Also, when I arrived they said that my room wasn't ready and gave me a free drink in the restaurant while I filled out the check in paper. I was waiting for quite a while there and they didn't come for me so I checked in at the desk when my room would be available. They said that it was available and then proceeded to check me in. It seemed that they were trying to make it a fancy check in by giving free drinks at check in, but I just wanted to get to my room after a long day of travel. This was a delay in the check in process that I didn't appreciate. Setting up the taxi to/from the airport was nice but when I first arrived the driver wasn't there for about 15 minutes and it made me nervous that I didn't actually have a ride to the hotel.
Very much appreciated the help with booking a ticket for the parliament tour.
