Pros: Location Very clean Rooms basic but satisfactory
Cons: No tea making facilities in the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We pulled up in front of the hotel onto the sidewalk to drop off our suitcases and the owner or manager. Immediately to make sure that we would not get fined for being on the sidewalk. He showed us where the free parking wise and took her bags. After that he showed us map of the city and gave her suggestions for restaurants which were excellent. All of the staff was very nice and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was very nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brive is a nice city with several good restaurant. The hotel is well placed in the city center with a car park in front. Hotel staff is very nice. Breakfast is good. Very good place to stay.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfy bed. Free parking over the road. Clean towels every day. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice bar on the ground floor.
Cons: More hangers in the cupboard. Somewhere to put soap and shampoo in the shower. Nearly 10 euros a lot for breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All of it, Location was great with many restaurants and bars nearby. Pretty clean town. Parking was straight across the road, very easy access.
Cons: We stayed here on our way down to our Villa in Spain and it's the best Hotel we've stayed in our many travels down. The hotel is immaculately clean, well decorated, staff are very hospitable and our little dog was most welcome. Our room was again perfect, bed was very comfortable, bathroom modern, clean and tidy with nice tolities, soft towels and shower was excellent. Breakfast was beautifully presented, all fresh with good coffee, juices and a vast selection of nice quality products. Breakfast and bar area have very tasteful deco, as was all. All in all we would rate it higher than the 3 stars awarded and will definitely be visiting again. Many thanks

Pros: Shower
Cons: Nice people and clean comfortable room.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good parking space, responsive staff. The lady was apologetic when I informed her about the kettle.
Cons: The room was small and basic with not even a closed cupboard. The kettle in the room was so dirty that I preferred taking hot water from the tap for the morning tea. There was no iron in the room and they could not find it when we requested for it. The breakfast was very average. The pool seemed good but what's the point for 1 day travellers if it opens only at 3 pm.

5.4 Okay
Cons: Very old. No elevator. I strongly suggest the Grand Hotel close by which is tip top modern for only a few more euros. Right opposite the train station.
3.5 Mediocre
Pros: .Nothing
Cons: everything really we were there for one night on our way to paris, and the place really was so rank, felt like a student hostel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owner provided a warm reception. Breakfast included homemade yogurt and jams, plus fresh grapes from the terrace. Great quiet place to unwind for first stop.
Cons: Everything met or exceeded our expectations.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: What we liked most about this hotel was Andrea herself. She is a wonderful and caring hostess and, even though she didn't speak English and we don't speak French, she made our stay more than comfortable.
Cons: Nothing - It is what one would expect in a 2 star hotel
4.2 Okay
Pros: The host, Andrea was nice, the breakfast setting was lovely and you could see that effort had gone in to the preparation of the breakfast as a whole.
Cons: Hotel is misleading. Its more of a bed and breakfast/hostel vibe. On arrival the building was closed (5pm) and it seems that normally check-in is open at 6pm. The room had a shared balcony which was annoying as the other couple were smokers. No air conditioning but plenty of mosquitoes - so we slept sweaty and hot. No fridge in the room, couldn't get on the WiFi or find any details of the facilities and local area in the room. Carried all the bags up two flights of winding, narrow stairs as well. Just not equipped properly as a "hotel". The breakfast room is really nice and the host had prepared breakfast freshly and made me an omelette BUT the downside is that its not that good a breakfast compared to even the most basic self-service continental breakfasts offered in hotels typically, and the coffee is really bad as the machine isn't cleaned properly, or possibly ever as the burned oil taste was very dominant. And its extra on the room. So we paid for, and expected to find a hotel but this is definitely NOT one.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The staff were excellent, very friendly. It was hot in the hotel and as soon as we arrived the lady went and got us a fan.
Cons: I didn’t like the fact that the toilet was à macerator amd was very noisy. The shower door didn’t close properly and the water leaked over the floor. The shower had no hook so you had to hold it in your hand. Also the bed had no pillows, only a bolster.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Andrea was really friendly. Many extra little kindnesses made me feel very welcome. Made a real effort to understand my beginners French. Lovely room
Cons: The stairs, but this was made easier as people rushed around to help me with the cases when I. arrived.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owner was charming
Cons: The front rooms are very noisy
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location and room size
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were great friendly and helpful really nice area .easy to get to nice breakfast. Would visit again
Cons: No restaurant open in the evening .but some nice restaurants close by.

6.3 Good
Pros: The Location.
Cons: It was tatty and did not live up to the details shown. The carpet and paintwork in the corridors leading to our room were filthy and stained. Most of the public areas in the hotel seemed grubby though our room was acceptable but had very dated decor.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location was good and parking on site was useful.
Cons: A good hotel but a little " tired" ! Not immaculate and needs some updating. Good size room with good lighting in bathroom.

4.0 Okay
Cons: the location
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Made to feel welcome. Very clean .food excellent just perfect for a hotel would stay again
Cons: Busy road
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The welcome was the best we have experienced for a long time. A very pleasant stay. As experienced travellers with over forty years experience of traveling in France we highly recommend this hotel.
Cons: A bit more ventilation in the bathroom would be good
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms , easy assess . Ideal stop over . Restaurant below did a good breakfast and didn't charge for the kids .
Cons: All good
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: I received a phone call on route to check my ETA and said that it will be closed at 23h and they won't be awating for us with ETA at 0:30h. Not English spoken. Very rude by phone even in French.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Leave
Cons: They only speak French, not a word of English or any other language. Rude and ill-tempered manager. There are only rooms with one bed (although they offer rooms with two beds). Despite having reserved a crib, when we asked for it we were told that "this was not a daycare" (literally). Not advisable for families. At 22:30 it closes and they do not admit to arriving later: they left my sister in the street despite she has booked a room, although she has told late arrival in the comments. They do not read the Booking comments (and in the case they read it, they do not understand them if not in french). Room and bed dirty, with a bathroom at the entrance without latch. Towels with a smell of moisture. If you are on the way to another place, better sleep in the car.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The distance to the show of Limousins with kbs. Lovely property, facility and view
Cons: The choice for breakfast was limited and food ran out
7.1 Good
Pros: Location, complimentary bottle of water
Cons: Quiet less we were next to an elevator, lights from the hall way penetrating the room during the night time, expensive for the type of equipment/ value for money
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location with easy parking straight across the road - though that may not be available when the market is operating.
Cons: We booked Hotel The Originals but the large sign at the top of the building gives the former name “Le Quercy”. When we put the address into Waze it converted it to Le Quercy. Never saw any mention of The Originals so it’s a bit confusing. Not really a problem though.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Central. Excellent value if booked as half board.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: No hotel parking, however a municipal parking lot across road.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The staff
Cons: The carpet was disgusting. The AC was not working, so we have to open the window and listen to the noise front m the streets, drunk pedestrians, cars passing by with blasting radio....and the floors in our bathroom were so dusty and not clean. Plus the shower faucets and hose need to be replaced... and the breakfast was horrible: the eggs and sausage were not ( real eggs ) good at all... I got sick later on during the day....
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I was there many times.
Cons: Internet extremely slow.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: There was no tea/coffee facilities in our room. There was a bad smell in the bathroom

Pros: It is near road
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean, comfortable and air conditioned. I was able to book online while we were on the road and less than 1 hour away. The steak restaurant, just a short walk down the driveway, was a very convenient place for dinner on our arrival. The staff were very helpful and professional. There is ample parking on-site and the hotel is located just off the motorway.
Cons: This is a non-smoking hotel but the first room we were allocated had a cigarette smoke odour. The staff member on reception was embarrassed and apologetic immediately gave us a different room which was much appreciated.
6.7 Good
Pros: Easy access. Nice decor. A lift
Cons: Areas of room not clean e.g. behind door. Corner of the shower very grimey. Hair dryer feeble. One towel only provided and only given one more when asked. One dirty mug and used plastic stirrer in the room..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We used this hotel as a stop over on a journey south and it was ideal as it was just off the motorway and right next to a little steak house - you don't need anything else
7.9 Good
Pros: Convenient location for stopover
Cons: Breakfast
7.0 Good
Pros: Typical Continental breakfast, ok for the summer but northern europeans and uk types would probably be looking for a traditional hot breakfast in winter.
Cons: location; too far out of town if you do not have your own transport. Particularly as taxis are expensive. There is a bus service into town that appears to run from fairly close but I failed to locate the route.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I use the Kyriad hotels on a regular basis for business travel. I am never disappointed. Comfortable beds, clean and quiet rooms. Good wifi and secure parking. Friendly staff make for a perfect overnight stop.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
7.5 Good
Pros: All very comfortable, and clean. Hotel in good position for a quick stop over.
Cons: The bathroom was disappointing, had a badly cracked toilet set, very painful to sit on.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel , location & breakfast.
Cons: -
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good location.
Cons: Hotel very tired and dingy. Rooms very small. Heavy dust on headboard and wall phone. No bar of soap to wash hands - only a packet of liquid body wash. Previous reviews made it sound much better than it was.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location was excellent, right in centre of town so we could walk everywhere. Bus service good. Le Coq d'Or was also a bar so we could sit & have a beer under their lovely tree. Bed very comfortable & shower good.
Cons: Property was a bit shabby & dark but we got used to it. The female proprietor was a bit dour & didn't seem happy to communicate with us but the male was a bit more cheerful. We mention this because when you're in a foreign country you want to feel welcome.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Located on one of Brive's main streets and had a bar attached where an excellent breakfast was served. No street noise due to effective double glazing! Rather tired furnishings and décor but rather quirky in an old-fashioned way! A public car park directly opposite the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Correct

7.5 Good
Pros: The room was small and basic but clean. Restaurant on premises very French and serving a delicious generous portion meal. Breakfast was also good. Hotel located in convenient position close to centre with some bars. Hotel car parking was in next road in locked compound.
Cons: Bar prices a little on the high side but on the whole very satisfied.
7.5 Good
Pros: Busy but friendly thriving town. Plenty to look at . The hotel was located near to centre of town and was easy to find. We were traveling on motorcycles and the hotel provided secure but not covered parking away from the hotel. About 100 meters. Evening meal was excellent and obviously home cooked. Handy small lift to all floors to get luggage up stairs.
Cons: Being near to the centre of town , there was traffic noise throughout the day and much of the evening and overnight.. Rooms were basic and clean but a residents lounge would have made all the difference.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s a hotel in a time warp but in a nice way. It gives good value for money and is comfortable and clean. The lift was a bonus.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: very nice stop for overnight travelling
Cons: none
7.5 Good
Pros: It was an easy walk from the train station. The room was nice, better than a one-star accommodation I would say. The pedestrianized center of Brive-la-Gaillarde was within walking distance (10 or 15 minutes) and was a pleasant place to visit and dine in the evening.
Cons: The breakfast (for 6.50 EUR) was quite mediocre. The 'croissant' wasn't really a croissant, it was a bread roll shaped like a croissant. It was not flaky and tasty like a real French croissant. Not very flavorful jam and jelly was provided in little plastic packets like in a diner in the US. The coffee lacked flavor.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Owners were very friendly and helpful
Cons: Quite a lot of traffic so noisy in the morning

7.5 Good
Pros: Comfortable rooms. Lovely restaurant (Courtepaille) on site. Great location for an overnight stop en route.
6.3 Good
Pros: Handy for the A20, clean bed, parking good.
Cons: Expensive restaurant food, bathroom a bit shabby, ventilation vent in the bathroom above the shower/bath completely off, tv remote not working properly, breakfast hard croissants & madeleines, the ‘fresh’ fruit looked like it had been there for days, the rest of the breakfast was ok. We probably would have been just as well taking a room in the Ibis budget next door which was cheaper. All in all not the usual quality for the money we paid. On a return journey we’d stay somewhere else.

7.9 Good
Pros: Excellent hotel for one night when travelling in France. Hygiene was somewhat disappointing (rooms with carpet that require refurbishment, dusty corridors,... Personnel is very helpful - Recommend the restaurant - good food for a descent price.
Cons: hygiene was disappointing - not that the accommodation is dirty, but could certainly be improved (overall housekeeping and hygiene).

Cons: Restaurant not open Saturday evening. Rooms and public areas very tired.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The staff was helpful and friendly. Brochures available for local attractions. Good off the highway location and close enough to get a good early start at La Rouge and Gouffre de Padirac.

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The location across from the railway station and the manager, Dominique was very helpful with directions.
Cons: The room was a small cubicle, the only window was in the bathroom, level with and inches away from the toilet. There was no internet service although they advertise, it exists. They tried to rectify the internet issue to no avail.
4.6 Okay
Pros: The room was fine, although very small. It had everything we would need.
Cons: We had a fiasco with parking. The woman at the front desk told us we could park in the lot across the street. What she failed to mention was we wouldn't be able to get our car out of lot from 11am to 8p. If we did, we had to pay the lost ticket fee, which ended up costing us 15€ when we checked out. We felt lied to and had an awful experience with the jerk operator at the lot who spoke English, until he conveniently forgot his English, and only spoke French.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location, price and clean
Cons: I had a single room. It had everything I needed including WC and shower. But it was tiny! Fine for one night and not too hot with the fan despite no aircon in v hot weather
7.1 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, room ok
Cons: Secure parking is far away from Hotel, was'nt mentionned, not fair
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Ideally located across the road from the railway station
Cons: More of a hostel than a hotel, quite noisy at times, very small rooms
7.0 Good
Pros: Low price and opposite train station; perfect for late arrivals or early departures. However I was not disturbed by noise from rail or road traffic. Several car hire offices nearby and a short to walk to the historic city centre. It was nice to look out over the station square from the bedroom and the breakfast room. Breakfast self-service buffet was adequate.
Cons: The room with en-suite shower/toilet was clean and functional but characterless (no decorative touches).
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The food was excellent. In particular the evening meal we had was one I remember with pleasure
Cons: Not a question of not liking but the garage, though conveniently placed near the hotel had small parking bays and was difficult to park in.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Location is good for my needs.
Cons: Property not up to my expectations creaking floors, faulty toilets.

Cons: Cheap hotel. Small bedroom.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Breakfast ok if a little pricey
Cons: room was very basic , did not like not having the bathroom separate from the bedroom
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean, bed very comfy. However the air Con was not very effective.
Cons: Air con not very effective. Went to the nearby courtpaille, but was very disappointed. Expensive and really not very nice food. I felt quite queasy afterwards.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The area was beautiful and we stopped only to rest for the night. We were visiting Europe for 21 days and heading for Lourdes. My husband and I were both stationed with the Air Force in Germany in 1990 and came back to visit the place we traveled to years ago. The hotel was a wonderful beginning to our adventure. The town was a perfect representation of France and the staff was very kind.
Cons: I liked everything the area, the room and there was parking. Getting there by car was very easy, gas stations, retail stores, and eateries were all centrally located. Could not ask for a better location.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We chose the location as a stop over on our way south for our holiday.
7.9 Good
Pros: Normal Campanile standards, good staff, good free parking, good food, restaurant on site reasonably priced. Didn't leave the hotel as it was a stopover so can't comment on what was around and about. Nice having a bath as well as a shower.
7.9 Good
Pros: Air conditioning and tea making facilities
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Lady at reception friendly and helpful
Cons: Waiter at dinner pushy, wanted to take our plates when we were clearly not finished. He also forgot to bring drinks
7.1 Good
Pros: The location was good and the staff really pleasant.
Cons: It was quite noisy. There was lots of noise going on quite late into the night.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very close to A20 motorway. Got ground floor room.
Cons: Shower bar very loose. Plus shower to bath change button did not work.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing !
Cons: Just about everything. The hotel and its forecourt should either have a major make-over or bull-dozed and built again. How a company with a large number of good hotels like Campanile, effectively ruin its reputation by charging a normal rate for what is the most run-down motel we have ever stayed in Europe and the USA. It is disgustingly not up to standard. I would go as far as to say that I had doubts as to whether the bed linen was freshly washed.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and friendly hotel right next to the station in Brive. Superior double room on fourth floor had a great view and balcony. Large room, v comfy bed. Dinner in restaurant was great. Previous visit in good weather included lovely meal in the courtyard with live music. Eating indoors in a storm was very cosy. Food was excellent and have options for vegetarians and pescatarians.
Cons: Nothing really! Maybe some better coffee in the rooms and would have been good if more original style wooden fittings and flooring had either been retained or replaced in original materials. That would always be my preference.

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: La Reserve is a fine old hotel with large rooms and high ceilings. Our room was extremely spacious and comfortable with a huge double bed, separate bathroom and a separate toilet and a balcony overlooking the street. The Patrons and staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and provided a varied quality petit dejeuner. The hotel is ideally located only 100 yards from the pedestrian centre where one can explore beautiful Brive with it's many shops, bars and restaurants. There is on site parking for customers and a bar. During our stay the finishing touches were being made to a new covered market next to the hotel that will sell fresh farm produce for which Brive is so well known. Although there was some noise during the day our evenings were quiet and the work on the market is due to conclude in November 2019. I would thoroughly recommend La Reserve at Brive for a visit to this beautiful town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The area was confident for a stroll around the area,
Cons: Th breakfast area, all the tables had been previously used and not cleared, no coffe machine, the staff had to go to reception area to obtain this for you,if you required a second cup, tough.,
7.5 Good
Pros: We arrived very late in the evening and the young member of staff Rimi texted us with the front doo key code and this allowed us to enter the hotel, he also left an envelope with our room key in it which was most helpful. The room was adequate and clean and we just crashed out. There was a good variety of choice for breakfast.
Cons: The overall building is enormous in size and is in need of updating in lots of areas the front of house is quite acceptable but other areas are quite dingy. Our on suite shower was the smallest I have ever had to squeeze into and I’m only average sized!!....
6.3 Good
Cons: No lift air conditioning helped in the very hot weather .

Featured amenities include express check-in, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The quality of this Kyriad hotel was above what I have tried before. The room was small but really functional. The bed was comfortable and the small bathroom was a small gem! It was truly high end functional given the small space. The shower was great, loads of water power and heated water. There was a heater in the room that was extremely fast. The room had everything you need and with a free parking just outside the window. A huge shopping mall on the other side of the street and the same goes for an asian restaurant. Restaurant on site as well. 1,2 km to the city centre.
6.3 Good
Pros: Super small room! Felt like a train berth. On a Sunday, no services like food available.
Cons: Bigger room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Value for money, location, well appointed room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room is small but an intelligent use of the space made it very comfortable. I apprecciated the comfort of the bed and the functionality of the bathroom. The cleanliness of the room in particular and the hotel in general, the friendliness of the staff and the excellent food served for dinner and breakfast made my stay most enjoyable. I travel by motorbike coming from Braganca in Portugal a 950 Km ride the hotel and is amenities was a blessing!
Cons: None whatsoever
7.5 Good
Cons: The room was quite small, larger sized travellers could have difficulty moving around the room.
7.1 Good
Cons: Less interesting area.
7.5 Good
Pros: Room had air-conditioning and good shower. It served a nice breakfast and the staff were friendly. There was private parking right outside the front of the hotel. It is situated not far from the city centre which was just a short walk away across the river. Nice walking path alongside the river. Didn't see much of the town as we used this as a stopover to visit the Millau Bridge.
Cons: There was not much hanging space in the room, really designed for overnight stays. There was not a lot of room to spare around the beds
6.3 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: The property is in need of refurbishment
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We were travelling and this was a very good place to stay overnight before carrying on with our trip. The restaurant was very good and the staff were very helpful.
ibis Brive centre - Brive-la-Gaillarde - Building

7.1 Good (1,685 reviews)

The region offers fascinating cultural attractions, including the Château de Turenne and the village of Collonges-la-Rouge. Located 1.2 miles (2 km) from the train station, the ibis Brive Centre hotel offers 61 air-conditioned rooms with free WIFI, a meeting room for your seminars and a 24-hour bar with terrace. Restaurants and a free public car park are located nearby.
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfy bed, nice view, aircon. Breakfast choice was good. Parking made available for motorcycles.
Cons: Cold water would only run warm, even after five minutes so we had to ask for drinking water. The plastic cups are worse than useless - they are so flimsy, taking the wrapper off breaks the cup! The towels were very thin and only one given per person (hint for hoteliers, think of your female guests!)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast and bar, plenty of parking, very close to restaurants and bars
Cons: Rooms a bit tired.
7.1 Good
Pros: The breakfast was amazing for a budget hotel
Cons: We were in the last room in the basement with no air conditioning but because of that our breakfast was free!
5.8 Okay
Pros: The room well-suited to my needs, clean and available at short notice
Cons: I was told when I arrived that breakfast was included in my booking, so I had breakfast. Then when I came to pay, I was told it wasn't included and had to pay extra. It should have been made clear to me whether breakfast was included or not, so that I could decide whether I wanted it or not. The lady at the reception was also quite rude and dismissive about it, as though I wasn't telling the truth about what I was told when I arrived. I did not find this to be acceptable, and the room was already a little over-priced for what it was.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Bed comfy.room adequate 24 he reception could not be faulted
Cons: ?????
