Good location Claen throughout good food serivce excellent
The restaurant was fantastic - the food and service I cannot fault
I booked online and had paid extra for a four poster bed room and was told that breakfast was included however when we arrived we were given a standard double which seemed alot like a travel lodge room and had to pay 9 pounds each for breakfast
Lovely location for both countryside and city, it was easy to find from the motorway and was peaceful.
We felt that it was not as well appointed as most hotels in this class
The location only
The cleaniness, no heating.
not worth the price I paid really, Older hotel, rooms could do with refurb and squeky floors. small pool, Bar staff very busy as wedding on and small bar seated area
No free internet
The hotel staff were very helpful and the restaurent food and staff were excellent
A mini bar would have been useful - if for nothing else but for the use of the fridge
the spa facilities were relaxed and comfortable.
although they were a number of small understandable flaws in service(i.e it took one and a half hours to order lunch and we had difficultly in checking in on the night we arrived). I was most disturbed when after waiting the hour and a half for lunch.By which time we had ask to be delivered to our room, it was spilt as the member of staff knocked on the door and we had to wait a further 20min for a fresh meal. This in its self is understandable however I was disgusted when as we left ower room that evening and my girlfriend slipped on the food split 6 hours previously of which the staff must have been fully aware.
The staff! They were really helpful and polite..
I liked the relaxed atmosphere, the views from the hotel were good, hotel staff were very helpfull and polite and being able to have a late lie in on sunday without missing breakfast was a welcome bonus.
