No bread in the breakfast box. Understand effects of Corona on the hotel. The swipe cards to enter parking worked sometimes on the car park. Staff were very helpful there.
Location was great close to shopping centre etc!
No breakfast available at property when told there would be and after we were charged for it!
Nothing, and I don’t usually write reviews, but this place needs sorting out.
I stay in quest hotels all over Australia, and they are usually clean and very comfortable, the one in Gladstone is excellent, unfortunately this is the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in a long, long time. The key fobs didn’t work properly, they had to be programmed twice, the bed smelt horrible, the pillows stunk, the towels stunk, they must had been washed and changed a few weeks ago, but not with soap powder, maybe in the Brisbane river or the sea, near the waste disposal, or down some back alley ways, either way everything smelt, I didn’t complain as I was working late, and got back the hotel around 1030, I ended up getting clean clothing out of my suitcase, lying in over the smelly bed sheets, and sleeping over them in my shorts & t shirt, I got up about 530, and bailed out with in minutes, usually I will make a coffee in my own cup, but I didn’t trust the water or the kettle for that matter. Bit of advice for the manager, take a trip up to the Gladstone Quest, have a look around how they do things, and put them ideas and cleaning routines into your hotel, also buy some surf soap powder from Woolworths, it’s around $25 for a big box, it might last a week or 5 years if you stick to your cleaning routines, I will never stay there again, moved to the Oaks in Redcliffe, it’s immaculate btw.
