Didn't have breakfast. Corona virus health reasons prevented a lot.
Lounge area taped off bar closed.
Location and bed comfy
Wasn’t ready for post Covid reopening. Excessively reduced facilities for a 4 star hotel and given what we had paid. Not even a fresh coffee available. And Instant in rooms in plastic water beakers. . TVs not working. Windows filthy. Maintenance issues Felt like most staff probably still furloughed. No reason at all with Covid not to provide a ceramic cup and put in a dishwasher After. Breakfast takeaway and no choice given. Wasn’t forewarned of that. Paid for exec seaview. Wasn’t worth the money.
Clean and comfortable in the hotel. Room was spotless and sanitised. Hotel staff were lovely and helpful.
We were not informed at the time of online booking that the breakfast that I opted for in the package was a set, small continental breakfast to be left outside our room. It wasn’t value for money at all and not particularly pleasant. As other restaurants were open in town, I assumed the hotel one would be - perhaps with a reduced service, but no. We found this out at check in, once it was all pre-paid. Had I known, I definitely would have opted for ‘room only’ and found a much better breakfast in town. I didn’t feel it was the hotel at fault, but should have been clear on the booking.com site really. A small point...The hotel customer reception toilets were closed too, so having checked out and left our car in the car park to enjoy our last day in town, we were not able to use the toilets at the hotel before embarking on our journey home. This was unexpected and maybe something that should be pointed out when checking out of the hotel, so customers aren’t caught short!
Size and cleanliness of room. Potential of the foyer as a common area.
No bar open and plastic tape for one way systems looked like a crime scene! Felt we should have been offered a discount since there were no facilities.
Great location right on the seafront and by the Lanes. Comfortable rooms and helpful staff. We stayed a few days after lockdown restrictions lifted. Facilities like the bar area looked lovely but understandably we could not use them.
We stayed a few days after lockdown restrictions lifted but there was still no use of the pool, bar area, breakfast was continental only in your room and you had to have a member of staff let you in and out of the building.
